I normally don't do reviews but i had to on this saw. I was not sure if it could handle the load of work i was doing and to my surprise not only did this saw outperform my expectations and gave me no problems at all and the best part is the convenient chain adjuster that works like a charm. I would highly recommend this unit and any WEN product because they have quality. I would definitely purchase WEN products in the future. The chain that came with it has lasted over 100 cuts so far and still going. This WEN is the best value on the market and easy to handle. Works well with 120v AC. When using 120v DC, the switch doesn't disengage quickly (arking?) And after about 100 on/ off cycles it smoked a little and would not turn on again. The replacement has worked a while, but only using AC current.

The power "trigger" only worked some of the time. Most of the time, however, it felt like it got stuck and would not go all the way to the activation point. I've used a Black and Decker pole saw with a similar trigger configuration for years and with no issues. This defect makes the the saw not only frustrating to use but also dangerous. The pole felt like it was good and sturdy as did the cutting head. But if the trigger is junk, well, so is the rest of it if it can't be used. High hopes were dashed. ... show more

Wen has made fine equipment for a long time. I still use my Wen electric soldering gun that works just fine and is decades old. This Wen pole saw is no exception. What I will say is don't plug this saw in and directly prune one of your prized trees. Try this out on some junk wood, firewood etc. Get on to using it, before doing your job. Compared to arborists quote I was given; this saw has already paid for itself four times and still works just fine. This was a good deal for me, give it a try. ... show more

So I bought this to use on my palm from and it didn't disappoint! Cut like butter so I moved on to my evergreen that cut even easier up to about 3". Wife said cut that dead apple branch laying the yard. 4"-6" and no issues. Check the oul after quite a bit of use and it hardly used much oil. Wife said get that main stump that had the bees so I went at it cutting sections off this 1.5 ft apple base. No problem. Great little saw. Kinda heavy and awkward until you get used to it. I didn't like the safety trigger and still haven't really figured it out but hey this thing has plenty of power. I bought a set of replacement chains and the dewalt oil as well. I bought this to replace a Harbor Freight pole saw that died, and this is better -- a little lighter, maybe not quite as long, but easy to handle and it cuts like nobody's business. I saw a lot of reviews about the chain jumping off, but I have not had that problem at all. It's been a work horse.

My new CP0810 arrived on time and undamaged in the manufacturers packaging. Unpacking and assembly was easy. It's heavier than I expected (nbd). The unpacking instructions are a riot: "With the help of a friend or trustworthy foe, such as one of your in-laws, carefully remove...". From reading other reviews I assumed it would come with chain oil. IT DOES NOT COME WITH CHAIN OIL and the reservoir is dry (as expected for shipping). You will need to fill the reservoir with appropriate chain oil before using. Somehow I missed that part. Looks like it should work fine, but I won't know until the oil gets here. Hopefully I will remember to update the review after I use it a bit. ... show more

Warning!!!! Make sure you plug this thing in when you get it. I put mine together but waited a few months before trying to use it. And guess what. DOA. Can not get it to do anything. Nothing. Absolutely dead. Tried returning. Can’t. Tried calling WEN. Left a message and nothing. No support. And a waste of money!!!! Save your money and buy something else!!!! ... show more
