The outer box showed zero damage. However, there was "damage" to the actual item inside. Based on what I am seeing, especially in my last image, this damage occurred before the product was even placed into the box. It's impossible for the base to have had a part bent OUTWARD as a result of shipping. This piece was clearly damaged during the installation process and the employee decided it was good enough, likely to minimize a negative impact to their production #s and employment. Images 1-3 show cracks in the padding and tears in the bag. The padding I can understand but the baggage tears I do not. My initial thought was that I received a product previously returned, which it may be, because of what I was seeing. This damage is unlike any resulting from shipping that I've EVER seen. I'd return this product if not for the inconvenience of doing so and the fact that it works well enough despite the bent foot. I do believe, however, that this damaged foot results in an abnormal amount of vibration. This makes the product a bit louder than I think it would be otherwise. ... show more

This grinder is working well for me. A little out of balance but vibration is minimal. I thought from the pics that the angle of the tool rests could be adjusted. They only adjust a bit forward and backward. So, I built a new tool rest that I can adjust. That fixed my only complaint.

    • Bad vibration from one of the wheels.

When I first powered it up the vibration was very severe. I pulled the wheels off one at a time and found the 60 grit wheel was horribly out of balance. Once it was removed the vibration stopped. So, this is going to cost me another $15 for a new wheel.
