I decided to repaint my kitchen recently, activating a chain of events. It never fails! After having a glass-topped dining set of tradition height (I disliked with vigor), I bought a Bistro set to sit higher. This new dark wood table and chairs prompted a look at the paint. After two days of moving appliances, repairing nail holes, painting, taping and painting some more, I finally finished the paint job which further prompted a look at the old rug. Looking at a national retailer's site, I found exactly what I wanted, and it was readily available to purchase in-store. The website they had said $60.00, so I jumped in the truck and headed down. Upon arrival I found the rug priced at $98.00. After procuring some assistance, I was informed that, to get the advertised price, I had to order it online, wait for it to arrive at the store, then drive back down to pick it up. NO! Suddenly it came to mind--DUH!! (Sometimes I can be a bit slow), I have an Amazon Prime account. Upon getting home and searching through Amazon, I found the rug in about 5 minutes! Bought this 5x7 rug during Prime Day sale. Had new carpet smell that I did not find objectionable and is almost entirely gone after four days. Reverse rolled it up and let it stand for an hour or so and then put it down in my living room. Didn't lie quite flat but I smoothed it out with my feet, immediately put coffee table on it, and it has been flat ever since. No creases. It doesn't have a deep pile, but it is twice as thick as some of its competitors selling for about the same price. Feels soft on my bare feet. I'm glad I didn't return it. Love it Looks great on my dark floors this was the runner. We also got the area rug but it had some defects in it looked also stained so we got the refund and then reordered will see if its better. This rug is lovely, soft, and flattened quickly when I laid it out the first time. My only complaint is that the red has some more burgundy tones and some more rust tones, depending on which way the grain is going.
