These American apparel shirts are some of my favorites. The wear down nicely over the years without getting holes or stretching out. They will develop some nice uniform tshirt patina over the years. I have several colors in my closet and have no regrets. The medium fits my long slender torso.

I bought 4 of these in two different colors, averaging $8 per tee. Yes, you can get cheaper brands for maybe $6 a tee, but it's seriously not worth it. Whether you're looking at Hanes or Fruit of the Loom, or even Amazon basics, I don't think any deal beats an American Apparel tee for $8. Just like all of these tees, there is some minor shrinkage after washing and drying. But nothing unexpected, that's just what happens with these tees.

This shirt seems more like a Tall&Slim than a standard shirt. 👕 Quite soft; no issues with comfort, except for a tiny qualm. 👕 These have stitched satin or satin-poly shirt labels, which make me itch like no other. Wish they had just printed the information on. It's not a shirt I’d wear out on its own, and Texas is too hot to wear layers, so I find myself wearing this at home only.

I got these for my son. He prefers his clothes a little baggier, so sizing up one size in these worked well. They have a slim, square, very basic tee shirt cut. There is nothing unusual about these shirts. They are cotton, crew neck, plain, black tee shirts. Perfect. I received these packaged nicely in plastic wrapping. However, these particular shirts when unwrapped were damp on the inside and smelled a little odd, like chemicals. I feel like they might have been packaged before they were completely dry. They did not seem musty or moldy, and the smell washed out in the laundry. The tee shirts came out soft and did not seem to show signs of shrinking or fading.

I ordinarily wear an XL but with some shirts, a 2 XL would be more comfortable. This is one of those shirts. After a trip through the dryer, this shirt still fits, but it fits more snugly than I'd like. The cotton material is good and the stitching is fine.
