I use this almost every day great machine for the price I'd like to see someone do better and still make a living "HA WONT HAPPEN " I thought it was gonna fall apart as soon as I opened the box nope the plugs and power supply way short, but for a reason you have to compensate for it with adjustment to your voltage dial. I upgraded to better clamps for both lead and ground and went with 1 foot add to my lead cable and it's noticeable I usually run at the top of melting parametersfor every application but it still does it.

I usually prefer flux core, but this is great to learn stick on. I wouldn't use this for big jobs, but small things around the house or industrial arts this works perfectly for. It's small size makes it convenient to move around.

Bought this to be an emergency welder that was easy to carry. The welder being easy to carry and compact is about the only good thing it has going for it. Doesn’t provide consistent power to the rod and only runs the rods provided (6011 or 7018 are pretty much impossible to arc) Save your money an go buy TOOLIOM as it is the same cost an actually works decently.

I had never welded before. Hooked this thing up, got a mask, watched a few videos and I was able to weld. Not good mind you but I was able to weld. Experience will help especially for setting your amperage. Buy yourself some welding sticks. The ones they send have a weird number that you don’t see. It’s like 4013 and you usually see 6013 or 7013. I believe it’s related to strength. If you need a stick welder this one is cheap and it works!

I burn holes in sheet metal and make a mess of the welding process but the machine itself is very forgiving to this beginner. I turned it off and on constantly and it never failed to operate. I'm sure it will forgive even more of my mistakes as time goes on. I recommend 6013 welding rods especially if you are on your own.

Overall, the unit did what it was supposed to. I welded several wrought iron patio benches. The good - very inexpensive, lightweight, and works. The not so good - the amp knob and readout appear to be for show. I saw others on Youtube measuring the amperage, and it's about half of what is shown. I used the 2.4 mm rods, and had trouble striking an arc. I eventually turned it up all the way to get it to work. Also, the arc was probably difficult because I couldn't get a good ground. Subsequent viewings of Youtube showed welders filing away any material (paint, etc.). I didn't do this, so ground was spotty. I don't anticipate welding much, so even hit-or-miss, it'll work for me. Is it a decent starter unit? Yes. Don't forget to get a helmet. My unit did not ship with the flimsy hand-held mask.
