Let me start out by saying I'm not a welder. I have a small mig welder and I have "successfully" welded a few things around the house but it wasn't pretty by any stretch.I got this little welder because of the previous reviews. Everyone said it worked great and was easy to use. They are correct. This little tool is very easy to use. Much easier for us newbies that have no idea what we're doing. I've welded a few different things for small projects I've done and it came out MUCH better with this tool than my mig welder. Still not a beautiful seam but much nicer, much cleaner and requiring for less grinding and clean-up. I recommend for anyone that doesn't use a welder regularly. You really can't go wrong at this price point.

My husband saw a youtube of a man using this welder. He asked me to go online and find him one like it. I wondered why on earth (at age 85) he would want a welder....but I did as he asked. Am I glad I did! He is spending his "need something to do" time in the garage making trellises, etc., for my Spring-Fall Garden. It is so compact and handy. He really enjoys using it....and I enjoy him doing so! Remember the old saying..."You don't stop gardening because you grow old. You grow old because you stop gardening!" This small welder fits his need perfectly.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this because I had some garden ornaments that I wanted to fix. It was going to cost me $20 apiece for a simple weld. I have never welded before but have a friend who is quite skilled so I ordered this and asked him to give me some lessons. When he first picked it up he warned me that I had probably wasted my money but I ended ordering one for him that afternoon. I don’t need any heavy welding so this is perfect. I only use the 3/32” rods as they work best. It has plenty of power. Buy yourself a good mask.
