I got say, this has been a tough welding helmet. I have put this through some abuse and it wasn't let me down. I thought it was toast last winter it was left outside as if to catch enough of the snow as it could, 2 days until i could get it and it was wet snow which froze. But I let it dry and it worked as good as new. The adjustment was easy to my head has been good, was hoping I could find the user manual cuz I believe the little battery is low. I probably have the manual somewhere and it was lowest price. My eyes, have suffered so much over their 65 year, but are very thankful. I don't have to adjust, easy to use.

I had a Hobart self-darkening helmet that was an absolute POS compared to this. I could never see what I was welding, thought maybe there was something wrong with it right from the start. This helmet is 100 times nicer. Huge viewing area, no darkening lag, doesn't over darken, and I can see exactly what I'm doing. Night and day difference. I haven't even tried any of the adjustments, just used it however it was set when I got it. It comes with a few replacement lenses, and an extra battery. Head strap adjusts nicely. The tension buttons on the side might be a bit delicate--I'm afraid to crank down on them and it tends to flop down when I don't want it to because I tape a high inensity bicycle light to the top to help visibility. The head pice is also kind of deep--I have a small head and if I let it settle all the way it hits my glasses. These aren't really complaints--just observations. Killer deal, I can't imagine a helmet 6 times the price would be signicantly better.

This is better than average hood for hobbyist or DIY. it's fast true color and has a comforable butterfly headgear that's adjustable front to back for people with glasses. it may be on the narrow side for some heads. I had to streatch/widen mine slightly. and add dab of paint on dial. it's nice and clear and has cheater lense brackets.the only negative is the Gring mode is inside intead of outside which makes you have to take off the hat each time you need too switch to grind. Not sure how long this would last in a harsh proffesional environment but you never know with thesse low cost imports.

The helmet seems to work ok but I am new to welding and have nothing to compare it to. The user manual is pathetic. It doesn’t even say how to replace the lens. It also never mentions the vernier on the left side of the helmet.

This helmet was the perfect size. Bought after dying an older helmet that was a little too big. This one fits well and is comfortable. Will buy again.
