I'm going to give an honest review here. I've used various helmets over the years. Older style helmets solid lens, harbor freight auto-darkening, mid range, and top end name brand helmets. This one is probably the best helmet I've ever used, with a couple of asterisks next to that statement. First off, the lens. Clear and untinted with a wide view angle. You can see everything before welding. It gives almost the same view as if you were wearing a motorcycle helmet. It darkens very quickly, and with a range wide enough to weld at almost any amperage with the perfect view. The selection of weld/cut/grind modes seems to be nearly perfect in their function. Easily one of the best lenses and views on the market. This leaves us with the only downside, the strap. Keep in mind, this ain't a major downside. The strap is much better than any cheaper helmet by a wide margin, making it the best bang for the buck. The knobs to tighten it feel just a touch cheap, but work OK, and it is placed in a very slightly awkward place in the helmet. The only time you'll notice this is if you like to wear your band up higher on your helmet, as it'll put the lens close enough to your face when you flip it down to touch your nose. Almost all helmets do this, but even 1/4" of a difference is noticeable when it comes to strap placement. Simple fix, wear the strap lower on your forehead.

First off it sounds silly when you buy a welding helmet because first and foremost you want a tool to do it's job but you also want to look cool. This helmet to me looked cool but it's also very functional. I wanted to learn how to weld. I was looking at a 300$ welding mask and then thought why spend that kind of money when you don't even know what you're doing so I went with a much in more affordable option in YesWelder. Auto darkening works very well. I had never worn a welding mask but off and on the mask allows you to see as your working and how your weld looks without lifting visor saving you time. I wear prescription glasses and I can easily and comfortably wear glasses under mask. I like the fact that the mask came with extra exterior lenses, and an extra battery. It also comes with a carrying bag. Over all I was very happy with it. Only critique I have is every once in awhile if the mask isn't sitting quite right on my head the nose of the mask will cut into my nose. A simple adjustment on my head typically fixes this. It's a minor annoyance but future models could use a rubber guard around that sharp plastic possibly. Also I noticed on another brand of mask a friend had that it had a little button that you could hit to test battery of light sensor. I feel like all masks should have this so you can test whether you're eyes are being protected. Overall awesome product. Thank you YesWelder

All the different adjustments took a minute to figure out, and the instructions weren't much help. Once everything was set up and adjusted it felt pretty comfortable to me. I couldn't seem to find a good balance with the lens darkness settings. If I made it dark I couldn't see the weld puddle, but if I made it lighter the arc was too bright for my eyes. Maybe that's just because I'm a novice and need to set my welder up better. Over all I'm happy with it and it seems to be a good helmet.

The media could not be loaded. I'm very happy with this hood. I allowed it to sit in the sun for a while to charge up the battery just in case it was low. It is super clear, super easy to see through, a wide field of view, and it goes more than dark enough for me to feel comfortable when welding for a period of time. Also very comfortable to wear, with a nice head rest(?) and adjustability.

I contacted Yeswelder Customer Service, they simply requested the Order #, A couple of Pictures, and My Shipping Address. Then, within three days, I received not the damaged part, but a Full Replacement of the Helmet. Great Service!!

I really hate small windowed hoods. This is a game changer for me. And I was concerned about not being able to adjust the peripheral windows, but unless you’re in a room full of welders welding right next to you, it doesn’t affect any of your own welding, except for making the whole experience significantly more pleasant. Also, I have a giant size 8.5 head and this thing fits perfectly. Quite comfortable too. Highly recommend this hood. This things a steal at a hundred bucks. It does scratch easily, but it comes with 3 extra shields and honestly who really cares?
