Would not buy again but: I had extra money, it looks awesome, all that support in the suspension, cool af. But: pinches MY head in a strange way, pushes my safety glasses into my ears (which hurts at the end of the day sometimes, even partway through). Is kind of heavy comparatively. Do I feel completely satisfied with my purchase? Most definitely. Would I spend this much again on a helmet that hurts to wear sometimes? Definitely not. Has it held up through some tough bonks? He'll yeah. But the color fades incredibly fast. Gel coat and paint come off in chips, like little battle scars. But she's a tough bird. Nothing in my line of work requires me to own a hat like this. Seems more of a status symbol to me. Plastic = lighter, more comfortable and cheaper. Just my opinion though. ... show more

    • Good hard hat but overpriced for what you get
I’ve been wearing hard hats for over 20 years on a daily basis and it’s probably one of the best looking hard hats I’ve ever own but probably not the most comfortable. I think the suspension system lacks depth adjustment I’ve had on other hard hats. This allows the hat to sit higher or shallower on the head and the little “pad” that sits in between your head and the adjustment knob falls off and breaks easily (I’ve owned 2- a full brim and ball cap style and on both it happened within 90 days). It does chip fairly easy, but if you wear a hard hat because it actually gets utilized on your job and not just to appease the safety requirement, any hardhat will get beat up. So overall is it the best hardhat you can own- no, not in my opinion. If you have the spare cash and want one of the best looking hard hats that also ranks high up in the areas of qualities you’d look for in a hard hat does this fit the bill- yes. Functionally it is way over priced for what it is, but most stuff we buy is and you are mainly paying for the “cool” factor ... show more

CAME BRAND NEW! Mfg date is 09/2024. No cracks or scratches, dents nothing whatsoever. Box also came in perfect condition. The headpiece was already attached to the hard hat. I love this I used it for the first time today at work for a 10 hour shift and it’s so light and comfortable I forgot I had it on my head lol. Only thing is I have long hair and put it in a bun and sometimes it pulls my hair when taking it off and on. That’s the only negative about this hard hat! But it’s nothing that will make me want to buy another hard hat I love this one! You will too! The fit is perfect for my big head as well! ... show more

This hard hat has been through a lot—I’ve had it for about 4–5 years now, and it’s still going strong. Very comfortable, sleek, clean look, super lightweight, and well worth the money!

I really like the lightweight shell, but the headgear is a little hard to get set. I have a large head so someone with a smaller head might have a better experience. I wear a 7-5/8

In my 36 years as a union carpenter/surveyor I've always purchased the best gear. When it comes to personal protection, money is no object. Over the years I accumulated dozens of hardhats, this Lift Safety DAX Fifty 50 Carbon Fiber Hardhat is by far the best hardhat, I've also have never wrote a review. Do not pay attention to reviews that may follow this one stating how poorly made, scratches easily, the 6 point suspension system is garbage and so on. This handcrafted full carbon hardhat in my opinion is the best available. I've already bumped my head a few times and not a scratch. The 6 point suspension system fits perfectly with plenty of room for most size heads (I'm size 7-1/4) The ratchet is well made and the adjustable multi position ratchet system can be lowered to give a more precise fit. I was told that this hardhat's suspension system is a new revised to the previous style. I added the MSA chin strap for more of a secure fit when wearing a hood or when the winds are blowing at 50 mph. Super fast shipping, excellent communication from Texas America Safety Company! Update: I recently did have a knick in the white part of the hardhat and a simple dab of white nail polish did the trick. Any scratches to the clear coat disappears with another dab of clear polish with a quick wipe. I also used a set of rubber car door bumpers to cover the leading edges go the hardhat. The price tag on this may be hard for some folks to swallow and that's understandable. I wear a hard hat everyday for a living and even I was a little hesitant. After speaking with some guys that had purchased these Lift hats I decided to give em a go, and thank goodness I did. The six point system in the hat combined with the leather padding makes this easily the most comfortable hard hat I've ever owned. It is VERY lightweight. When I received the box I didn't think there was anything in it because it was so light. The only downside I could speak about would be the overall durability. It is carbon fiber, so it can chip fairly easily. It's no fault of the manufacturer, it's just how carbon is. One windy day my hat blew off and when it hit the ground, it chipped the brim of the hat. Nothing major, but it can happen more easily than it would with a cheaper plastic hat. Even at the higher price point, I will still buy this brand from here on out when I need a new hard hat. ... show more

    • Protect the melon
If you know the industry, you find equipment that works per application. The brim is awesome for defection, if it should happen, or sky falls. I use the bill cap style when I’m in machines, and they both are durable, with awesome replaceable supports, and tensioning, and hat provided clearance from supports to cranium, if hit. If you work the industry, don’t trust nor wear factory bump caps for protection, and waste 5 minutes messing around with head strap to fit your melon, or the smells from whomever.
