This is a pretty SMALL unit, but that being said, it works very well. My only complaint, which is minor, is that if it happens to be used for pet accidents, which with senior dogs does happen around here, I feel that it's important to run plain water through the hose after use. When doing that, the reservoir for "dirty" water/water collection, is very small, as only about a third of the container can be used before you get to the "full" line. I've adjusted my habits from other spot cleaner machines after using this one to the following steps: 1. empty any dirty water after using 2. replace the dirty water tank back into the machine with the cover on 3. put a small amount of clear water in a sink (use the sink stopper) 4. suck up the small amount of water FROM the sink WITH the hose (when I say small amount, I mean small amount - but it seems enough to not have a dirty hose or any odors left over) 5. empty the dirty water container again 6. put the container back in the unit with the cover off of it for a while, so it can dry out (you can tuck the cover upside down under the handle of the unit) 7. replace the cover once the container is dry These are obviously not things you HAVE to do - I just find that carpet cleaners like this smell better and get less gunked up in the long run when you clean out the hose and the collection container, and allow them to dry out. I LOVEEEEEE the fact that you can disassemble the head of the nozzle for cleaning. I've owned machines where the cleaning head/nozzle is just a closed piece that can't be opened, and those get gunky and gross. This one is awesome. We keep this unit in a smaller cabinet in our bathroom between uses, and it fits great because it's so compact.
