The sides and back of cabinet have large opening that animals can easily enter. Critters enter the grill through the openings to eat the grease and drippings overnight. Next morning, I have grease paw prints on the patio around the grill. The grill interior also needs to be reassembled as the animals knock parts out of place. The grill cover was also a waste of money. The animals just chewed through it to enter the grill again. For $1249, the cabinet should keep animals out of the grill and front doors should latch shut. ... show more

This is my second weber grill - I have a 3 burner propane genesis, but wanted a bigger NG grill for my new house. Had the first grill for close to six years without any issues. This grill arrived in the mail, and when I opened it up, was disappointed to find the lid had a hole punched in the siding. When I contacted Amazon customer service, they couldn't replace just that part and would have had to send me a whole new grill (which didn't make sense, this thing weighs like 150 pounds and I had already unboxed it), so they gave me 10% off. I then contacted Weber customer service, and they responded and had a new lid on my doorstep within three days under warranty. Once I got the new lid, I assembled the grill (by myself, which by the way is perfectly doable though not as easy as with two people). Unfortunately, I discovered when i went to put the new lid on that the main tub had a crack in it where the lid connects from whatever impact event damaged the lid as well. I had already assembled the whole thing, so I wrote back to the customer service rep who sent me the new lid and told him the situation - that I discovered this crack only after I had assembled it and didn't want to have to disassemble and reassemble to replace the part, and then I asked if there was anything they could do to help out. The rep said that service isn't covered under warranty, but he'd reach out to the service department to see what he could do. A couple of days later, I received a call letting me know that they'd be scheduling a service visit as soon as the part was available. tldr; Grill arrived damaged. Accidents happen, but Weber customer service is/was top notch, and I will remain a customer for a long time. Also, the grill is great too. ... show more

My last Weber lasted 18 years. Hopefully this one will as well. Assembly was extensive as expected but the clear instructions made it relatively easy. One only complaint. The burner controls are not centered with holes front fascia where the burner knobs go. I checked several times for fit but there is no adjustment on the manifold mount that I could find. This missalingment is causing the knobs to bind. I can see where a little more off and the knobs could not even be fitted. Also, the electronic ingnition is working on the left burner only. ... show more

    • Well constructed grill with amazing heat output

I just used this grill for the first time yesterday and was impressed with the heat output as the singed hair on my arm can attest to. Let's start at the beginning with delivery. The delivery company stated that they would deliver inside my doorway but left it out in the driveway stating they couldn't come into the house. I wasn't home at the time so I'm not positive what transpired but moving a 150 lb box out of my driveway into the back yard wasn't fun. This is minor point. Assembly: When I ordered this online it stated free assembly would be added at check-out. When I checked out it was ~$95 so I did not click on it. After some more thinking, I contacted Amazon who explained that my account would be credited with the assembly fee upon completion and they provided a link to order the assembly. To my surprise, the assembler showed up on a little moped type scooter when I was expecting a professional work truck. But, he did a great job assembling my grill. He was courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable so 5 stars for Obdulio. And as an added bonus he tuned up my kids bicycle while he was there. Grilling: I was excited to use my new grill and bought a couple of rib eye steaks and some pork chops and grilled them along with asparagus, mushrooms, onions and cherry tomatoes. I was especially excited to try the sear station. I learned that there is a bit of a learning curve with this curve compared to previous POS Broil King that caught on fire every time I used it. The steaks came out fantastic with great grill marks. I was a bit surprised with the heat output of the grill and damn near burnt my arm off trying to flip the steaks and pork chops. I did manage to singe most of my arm hair but that's my fault and not a critique of the grill. The grilling area is large, the heat output is amazing and the construction of the grill is very sturdy. After a single grilling though, the stainless steel grates, burner covers and flavorizer bars were an absolute mess and there is some permanent discoloration. This does not affect grilling operation though. So, overall I am happy with my purchase. Is it worth $1250? I don't know as I have nothing but cheap ass grills to compare it to. But, I'm certain I'll enjoy grilling on this bad boy all summer long. ... show more
