This gym mat exceeded all of my expectations. I already knew I would like it but I wasn’t expecting to love it. I have to comment on how amazingly fast the shipping was. I live in rural Alaska and to get a large package ups in less than a week is very rare, but they did it! Next the product itself is a lovely firm foam without being uncomfortable. The material the mat is made out of is also great because it is grippy without hurting bare skin. I bought this for my 6 month old because he is getting a lot more mobile and I wanted him to have a safe comfortable space on the floor to play. Most mat’s advertised for babies are only .5 or 1 inch and maaaaybe 1.5 and even then they are more like thick rugs. This mat is exactly what I was looking for and more. I also have two 6 year olds that now like to practice their “gymnastics” since we have gotten it which is awesome! I wasn’t expecting them to love it also. Just bought 2 and put them together. I'm 6' 250 lbs. with 5' dummy or 11 year old Probably cold use another mat or 2 but 6x8 is doable. Light break falls are fine. Probably wouldn't do throws without a sub layer. No smells, very comfortable.

I’m a lifelong gym rat. I bought this mat to use with garage workouts when I don’t have time for the gym. It’s absolutely perfect for that. Very firm! Great for kettlebell and sandbag floor work. I read lots of complaints about the “chemical smell”. I’ve been using it for months now. If I put my nose in it, it smells like a gym mat. Definitely not something worth complaining about. Great mat.
