I am very impressed with this tiny tripod. I was travelling to Washington DC, and there are a lot of rules about tripods, so I wanted something I could stash inside my camera bag. I used it with two extensions (SL-100 & SL-200) and set the legs to the 2nd position to widen the stance. This setup gave me a waist high tripod that held my camera + 100-500mm lens and was quite stable. I obviously didn't use it where it was restricted, but I had no problems with security carrying it in my backpack in the various museums and government buildings. The head was small, but more than adequate. It came with a 1/2 sized ARC plate which was perfect. The head has a safety release, which was welcome at this price point. It held and locked my Peak-Design QR plate well. Held the weight of the camera well. Whole setup (Tripod, 2 extensions, head, plate) weighed just over 2.3lbs and fit in an area only 9" x 4" x4"...Smaller than my big lens. I have a feeling that this will come in very handy when I want to go backpacking with my small star tracker. This setup will not replace a full-sized tripod in every situation, but it makes a heck of a platform for ultra light or space limited setups. ... show more

Took this to Europe on vacation, and it performed flawlessly securing an A7RV, and fit nicely in my backpack. Great adjustability of the legs, nice secure mount. Definitely recommended.

This is the absolute best photography tool I've bought myself for fun. I've used it way more than I ever expected. It's great quality. I've used it unextended with my sony 90mm macro lens which is silly looking to say the least. Still, it let's you get at or near ground level really well! The quality is impressive too. I didn't expect such good quality from something so light. The ball head impresses me in particular since it's so small. I would 100% recommend if you have any need for it. I hike a lot and do a lot of outdoor photography. It has worked out great! ... show more

Tripod is great - well build with good adjustment. Nice carrying case comes with it. It would be nice if there was storage for the allen wrench built into the tripod in order to keep it all together. Need to use allen wrench to tighten screw to hold down camera, or spotting scope. Used it with Gosky spotting scope and also with cell phone. Bought holder and remote for Samsung Note and it works great. ... show more

This is a great little tripod. I liked it so much for my cameras, I bought two more. One for my spotting scope and one as a short rifle tripod. Who knows I might want more. Now thinking of a taller one. It’s better than my older Manfroto tripod.
