Description

The Zareba Black Pin-Lock Wood and T-Post Insulator tightly fastens electrified wire to wood, metal and T-posts (1.25 or 1.33 T-posts) without losing energy through the post. The insulators are compatible with steel and aluminum wire. The IWTPLB-Z has a molded pin that holds wire tightly. The electric fence insulators are easy to use. When you're ready to release the wire, simply pull the pin. This bag includes 25 electric fence insulators.

I have tried all sorts of different styles and brands of plastic electric fence insulators and these have held up far better than any others I have tried. Unlike these insulators, those made of yellow plastic break down and crack under under our intense Florida sun very quickly and are a waste of money in my opinion unless you just intend to use the fence for one season. These insulators also can be used on wood posts or T posts and with the latter they just snap on securely rather than wrap around with a piece of plastic which is where the others usually break first or where you need to screw them together which is a hassle and where that type usually breaks. These insulators also have a pin that can be removed which makes attaching or removing the wire very easy. They are slightly more expensive than some of the other insulators out there but in my opinion they are well worth the price and in the long run they actually cost less because they last longer. These are now the only insulators I buy and nearly all of the others I have tried are now in the trash. ... show more

Other Electric Fencing Clips I've used for wooden posts have nails or screws included to fasten them to the post... These don't... And, I don't see that mentioned anywhere in the listing. I got up to our rec property 2 hours away and discovered I needed nails or screws to fasten these to the post. That being said, they are very substantial, PLUS the do a better job of holding wire around a corner than the nail-on button type insulators. The button type have a little hook to hold the wire, which is distorted and allows the wire to bend it and and slip completely out. ... show more

Just as another reviewer said, it is too long/big to fit between the bumps on T-post. Update: my bad. It is supposed to be installed over the bumps/studs, not between. Update: after I installed these, found a fatal design flaw of this product: there are two open slits at the two sides of the insulator, and a small triangular ledges.
