  • Amazing Shears
Color: Traditional
LOVE THEM!!! They are used everyday for all our plants. They are weighted just right, sharp as hell, and no rust. We do clean them after each use. I need to purchase a second pair since my spouse and I are sharing them. The cuts are clean when we trim our different plant species. Order them for a great pair of shears. ... show more

  • Fantastic Bonsai Shears!
Color: Ashinaga Long Handle Black
These are great shears for the price, and having been made in Japan! They have a strong screw at the joint between the two blades, which mean that these shears are strong and will cut through some thick branches. The only down side is that if you work with smaller trees, they might be too big to be precise enough. These shears are intended for medium to larger-sized bonsai. If you have smaller trees, I recommend their Satsuki shears which do that job just fine. They are also carbon steel, which I prefer over stainless steel, however, this means you will need to clean it and sharpen it more often. I like to use camellia oil when they start to show signs of rust and wear, then treat them with Sabitoru rust erasers (both which are readily available on amazon!). For sharpening, use a small Okatsune whetstone, which only requires water, but after treatment with oil. While this may all sound tedious, it is well worth it for quality and long lasting shears, with only the best from Japan! I wish you all the best in your bonsai adventures! ... show more
