The media could not be loaded. I've had this unit for about 1 week and it has been outstanding. This is a powerful unit that dropped my home humidity from 60% to 46% humidity in short time. I have used other home humidifiers in the past with some success, however this unit appears to be a bit more powerful and robust than those bucket style units. The display and settings are easy to use and easy to understand. In using the unit in automatic mode, it has a 3% variance, which allows the unit to shut off and back on when the humidity reaches a level of three below or three above the desired setting. The unit is fairly quiet for what it does but with a unit of this size it does produce some noise. It's about the same level of noise I had with other home units running with the fan on high. The only note I would leave you with is to make sure that the drain hose is properly installed and that it's gradient is descending to your house drain. Initially I had an abundance of line out and it caused a puddle under the unit. Once I corrected that issues the unit has been working flawlessly and has been producing great results without any issues. This unit appears to be well built and my hope is that it will last for years to come. If you're in the market for a dehumidifier for your home or business and you have the proper area to drain the unit. I would absolutely consider the Waykar AFW 2.0 D. with it's compact size and functionality I believe it's a solid choice.

After years of going through dehumidifier after dehumidifier, and not finding one that will last more than one season or just not do the job, I've found this one and it works wonders! My basement went from 74% humidity down to 62% in an 1.5 hours. It now keeps my basement dry and odor free at 50%. It goes off when it reaches it's set point and goes on when needed which saves me money on my electric bill. I love to two handles and the long cord. It's a bit louder than I expected but not noticeable upstairs. Small to store away when not in use. A great purchase

Works very well! My workshop had a commercial size dehumidifier that was an installed unit with ducting. It stopped working. The cost to repair it was more than this unit cost. I installed this one hoping it would handle the size of the room and maintain the low humidity I need. This worked perfectly. The unit is quiet, it was easy to pipe the water out and it maintains the low humidity level I require.

I recently purchased this unit (AFW1.5D) to replace my last unit and couldn’t be happier. This unit is small but mighty. Takes up less space than my others units and works better. Humidity in my basement dropped 12% in less than the first 24 hours of use. Construction is metal so it seems like it will last longer than those plastic ones. I opted for the non-pump version so I had to set it up on something to drain but I still highly recommend!

Bought this unit and paid extra for a built-in pump to use in our crawl space. It’s been an overly humid summer & we needed to get our crawl space a bit drier. Pump would not kick in after placement/installation in the crawl space as instructed in the manual (away from walls, off the floor & level, plenty of clearance surrounding it). Instead of pumping water out the drainage hose, the interior reservoir overflowed all over the floor. Yes - it pulls water out of the air. No - it does not pump the water out of the unit. Live Chat support is NOT live - it responds with a message that they will get back “within 24-hours” (hopefully). Left a detailed voice message after “Live Chat” responded that they were looking into the issue & would respond within 24 hours. UPDATE: That was early Saturday afternoon. Still have not heard a response from the “Live Chat” almost 30 hours later. Because the pump does not come on, it looks like we’ll be forced to bring the unit back out of the crawl space, dry it out & return it. Buyer beware. Hundreds of dollars spent with time & energy invested/wasted - don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

But the dehumidifier works fine. It ran continuously for three days, bringing our basement humidity from 69% (we’re in south-central Tennessee a ways north of the river) to 45% at which point it shut off. The unit draws 270 watts while running - about 6.5 kWh (or a dollar) a day. Cycling it draws about half that. Had another unit, another brand which was LOUDER, and drew 400 watts and would NOT cycle; returned it. This one I can afford, and it’s not so loud I can hear it over our television, upstairs, through an insulated floor. MUCH quieter. Right now, parked atop a short filing cabinet three feet from the floor it’s sucking about 1 gallon a day out of the air and the RH (Relative Humidity) as confirmed by TWO other hygrometers (at 3 and 6 feet height) at different ends of the basement is sitting at 45% which is fine. The fan helps with air circulation. This doesn’t seem to be running very hot, is a nice, compact unit and I can manage the weight. I HAD considered - at great expense, like a couple thousand dollars the thieving HVAC installers wanted - adding a 6k head to part of the basement. (there is already an 18k) unit there and two extra ports on the outdoor condenser but this should do the job far better than another head unit. A good investment, a good price. Now if I can only get it registered at their website…
