I purchased the dehumidifier in Mar 2024. First of all, the way the machine was packaged for shipping showed me Waykar's excellence in product handling. Then, the design is attractive, the handle and wheels make moving it super easy and the bucket with removable lid keeps me from spilling. The Auto Defrost and Self Drying features make this model the best. And most importantly, the unit is QUIET, efficient and quickly reduces the humidity to the desired level. The unit ran daily for 7 months until we unplugged it for the winter. In the spring everything sounded great, but it was not collecting water. I contacted Customer Service with the date of purchase which was more than 1 year prior and I received an immediate response. I ran a troubleshooting test to confirm that no water was being collected and then Customer Service had a replacement unit at my door within a few days! The unit exceeds our expectations and the Customer Service is beyond superb! Waykar restored my faith by standing by their product and doing so in the most efficient, clear, straightforward and pleasant manner possible. It was an honor to work with Waykar! I'm a customer for life.

Relatively quiet and does job superbly. I am in Michigan and normally begin running my dehumidifier when I turn AC on. This year was different. High temps with high humidity way earlier than usual for MI and it hasn’t abated yet. I am getting an easy 3 gallons/day running on Auto at 45% humidity setting. I use the collected water for plants and laundry. It is just me at home, so it’s difficult for me to use all the water instead of just wasting it. I bought the one with the pump as it was on sale and as inexpensive as the one without. If I ever require that option, I now have it. But I was not going to pay the extra $ just to have the pump; don’t need it. So, were it not for the sale, I would have purchased just the humidifier sans pump. I like that I can control the humidity level by 5% increments. The machine is on wheels and basement is tiled, so that is quite nice, though I usually don’t move it once in place. It will make bringing it into service again and storage when no longer required an easier task, though. Only downside for me is the collection bin. It will be a matter of time before Something breaks. The handle popped out of one side while dumping it. I was using the handle while supporting the base and, enough of a small twist, to pop that handle almist immediately. It is a heavy amount of water when full, so it did not take much. Fortunately, the handle has an easy lock system and placed back in with no difficulty. But it did alert me to a potential weak spot. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and pay better attention while dumping from now on, but it is the easily breakable type plastic, and pretty thin in spots, so we’ll see. No real “spout” or corner to make dumping more easy. It is baffled and in the bottom are 2 channels through the baffling. Helps when removing receptacle, but I did not see any advantage for them for dumping purposes. I suppose if I did not collect the water this would not be an issue. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my purchase. My old one was about 33 years old and, were it not for my neglect on cleaning, would still be going. If this new one lasts half as long, it is still a fantastic purchase in my mind.

I purchased this dehumidifier in 2024 and it performed well overall, with good moisture removal and pretty quiet operation. Unfortunately, the unit I received did stop working, but the issue is being resolved with customer service. While working, it was great at keeping the humidity at the level we chose. The unit is easy to empty which is done twice a day.

This is working nicely! We have it in our basement which is sectioned off in 4 parts but it manages to get to each room and the humidity is going down nicely! We had to add our own hose so that it would empty out into the subpump area but that is working very well. It is quiet and doesn't leak. The timer to turn it off is very easy to work which is convenient so that we don't need to go down into the basement at night to turn it off.

Initially I wasn't sure about getting this unit, but am glad I did! First thing to know, even though the company is headquartered in SC, the machine was made in CHINA. Having said that, the quality and functioning of this model is well worth it. Here is what I have noted. It does what it says it will: sucks the moisture out of the area. We put it in our basement, an area of 20 ft. x 25 ft x 8 ft. When we plugged it in, it indicated that the humidity was 79% which was pretty high in a concrete foundation. Knowing that it is summer and most of our equipment down there emits swet and heated moisture, we set the dehumidifier to a goal humidity of 50%. We started out having to empty the unit 3 times a day, as it worked to get to the goal. After just over a week of running (new), the humidity has been reduced to between 47-52%, which is totally in our acceptable range. The included rubber tubing is now attached and is discharging the collected water into a 5 gal. bucket. The bucket is emptied about every 2 days. With the reduction of humidity, we have noticed that the musty smell in the basement has disappeared. It is relatively quiet. The Auto shut off works to keep the unit from overflowing the tank situations/continuing passed the humidity set-point. It is easy to wipe down. Energy efficiency is yet to be determined, but we don't expect that to be out of line. So overall, this was a good purchase for our intended use...it gets 4 thumbs up from us.
