  • Great quality!
This is the first wax melter I e bought and I love it so far. It melts the wax pretty fast and can fit quite a bit of wax in it. It’s easy to use as a beginner in my opinion and can’t wait to use it again.

  • Works great... good buy!
Although the temperature dial is inaccurate, it didn't matter to me since I always use a thermometer anyway. Once I got the temperature dialed in, I just unplug it each time I use it. I didn't take any stars away for that because each time I've used it, I plug it back in and it always and reliably heats to that temp every time without variation. This heats up pretty fast, spout has never plugged up. Because of the design, the spout exit (inside) is above the bottom and it leaves maybe a half inch of wax in the bottom. This is actually a good thing because you wouldn't want fried wax on the bottom if you don't shut it off right away. The outside gets quite warm and usually leaves a drip or two after stopping the flow, but I would think all do the same. I leave a mason jar lid under the spout and every so often, I scrap the solidified wax off the lid and drop it back in the melter. I use this to make candles for resale and if I buy another melter (quite likely adding a second), this is what I'll buy. ... show more

  • Great for candle-making!
This has made my small candle business SO MUCH MORE PRODUCTIVE. I love this product. On the lowest heat settings, it melts a decent amount of wax in a matter of minutes. My double-boiler process would take 3x as long to melt a fraction of the wax this can, and with this you don't have to worry about boiling water splashes! The handle is easy to use and feels secure. The rubber cover on it makes it so that it's not too hot to touch, but I still use a rag sometimes just in case. Others complained about the level of the funnel and how you still need to have a significant amount of wax to be able to pour without tipping it, but I can't speak to that as I usually have this pretty full when I'm using it. ... show more

  • 10 times faster & SO MUCH less wasteful & messy than using the double boiler method!
I love how fast little BB is! After an 11 hour day I didn’t have the energy to stay up making candles until 3am, so I just planned to put it together & set it up for the next day. But, since putting it together went so quickly I figured I might as well just do a small batch before bed. I poured in about 1 lb of wax in & set it on the lowest setting, then went up to change & get ready for the next day. I took about 30 minutes & came down to find all the beeswax completely melted & ready to go! I was thrilled with the speed & how easy it was to use-& cleaning it up was just as quick. I just unplugged it & removed the hardened wax the next morning while I admired my beautiful batch from the night before. I can’t wait to see how it does with say wax & lotions!!! Worth every penny! ... show more

  • This totally ups my wax-melt/candle game
I enjoy making small batches of melts and candles to try fragrances for myself and to hand out to friends who seem to enjoy them also. This is perfect to melt a bunch of wax at once to a workable temp so I don't have to wait for it to cool down after pouring some into a mixing cup and before adding the oil. It was a cinch to make a couple dozen different small batches (3-6 melts) over a weekend. Solid quality, and very happy the spigot doesn't leak when closed and doesn't stick when re-heating left over wax. ... show more

  • Good customer service and works well
The first one I received was broken. The plug was cracked and the legs were also cracked. The box was destroyed so I don't know if it happened in shipping, or before because it was clearly taped back together. Either way when I reached out they immediately sent a new one. It works well, the temperature knob is pretty basic and not super useful, but it heats up very quick and does what it's supposed too. ... show more

  • Love it
I bought a candle kit where I felt that the melting pot that came with it was really mediocre. It worked, but it has a small capacity, and wax took forever to melt. This baby, though. Holds 7 quarts of wax (I haven't actually tested capacity yet). I melted about 3 pounds of wax it melted fast! Seriously, I went to go make a cup of coffee and came back to a nice puddle. This will work perfect for me. The only problem for me is that you can't use the spigot to get all of the wax out. The directions do say to not remove more than 90% of the wax, so this is just a personal preference, not anything wrong with the pot. You can use this as a double boiler, or you can just pick it up to tilt out the rest of the wax, which is what I did. Overall, this is a keeper. I love it. If I ever need another wax melter, I would definitely buy this again. ... show more

  • Works BUT BEWARE if you’re new like me
The media could not be loaded. It works. A little too good perhaps. As a new melting pot user who graduated up from my double boiler method, let me tell anyone else graduating up to the presto pot….. this thing heats up FAST! let me repeat, FAST! My first time I poured in 4 pounds of soy wax and set the temp to around 180 and it was done in 10-15 minutes. Totally melted and at temp. However, BAD BAD BAD. You do NOT want your wax to heat up this fast. Set it at the lowest setting possible and work your way up slowly, over the course of at least an hour! Two at least would be ideal for larch batches. keeping an eye on the temp. All of my candles came out crystallized and grainy and bubbly. Never had that happen before ever with the double boiler. I received advice on how heating this fast is bad and I did slowly melt the wax as I suggested the next time and it resolved the issue. Back to perfect candles. Also - depending on how full your pot is of wax it will heat faster or slower at the same heat setting. If you have a pound of wax at 180 it’s going to heat it a lot faster than 4 pounds at 180. I highly suggest putting it on the “warm” setting and keeping an eye on it, taking the temp and creeping up the temp until you are familiar with this pot. The temp knob is also not precise, especially when you factor in how much wax is in the pot. I’ve been using this pot now for months with no issues, it’s great. I’d definitely suggest it to any fellow home candle maker. Heed this warning young padiwans to become the candle connoisseurs I know you are within. ... show more
