I used these dye chips to color candles. They worked great and were nice and vibrant colors. The only thing I didn’t like was that the packs of individual dye chips are so small. They’re literally sample packs. But you do get to sample a lot of colors which is nice.

These come in the form of small chips that can be added to melted wax. (I used soy wax.) A few chips go a long way to adding a rich color, so this bag of chips will likely last a long time. I bought red and green, and both worked beautifully. The color chips do need to be stirred well into the melted wax to dissolve. I recommend stirring often if you’re pouring the wax into multiple molds. The color is much deeper than the liquid dyes I have tried, which require a lot of dye from small bottles. I have used the color dye for my candle business for a couple of special orders and so far the colors are much brighter than I expected and a little goes a long way. They don't interfere with the normal candle burning process, and don't have a smell either. I have yet to use all of the colors, but the orange will absolutely come out orange and get brighter as you add more chips, and the white is pretty strong as well. They arrived in great shape, but I also bought them after the summer since things get hot where I'm from. I'll update my review as I use more of the colors. I am a compete beginner and decided I wanted to make candles as thank you gifts for an event. I read some articles about what time of coloring to use for candles, and these fit the description. And look at how vibrant the colors are! I loved how easy it was to use, and how I could customize the colors by controlling how much I added, or I could mix colors, or add some white to lighten it, or add more flakes to darken it. The possibilities are endless. As you are mixing the color into the wax, put a drop on a piece of parchment paper, which will dry in a few seconds, showing you the final color. After seeing that test, you can keep on mixing until you get the shade that you want. It was a ton of fun to use and the finished product was beautiful! ... show more

It’s easy to use just drop it in to wax and it Dissolves but only one part it doesn’t dry up a very pretty color. You can mix it Thoroughly than it drys up with a uneven Color what I mean by that is some parts are darker than others
