Wanted an inexpensive flatiron I could use for travel. Got this on a prime day deal and it works perfect. I hate taking my nice expensive flatiron on trips because I have been know to forget them in the hotel. Problem solved and this guy does what I need him too. Glides smooth and works well.

Purchase 10/09/23 as you can see from a verification photo included which also show my iron is brand new and in perfect mint condition without any abuse over few wks. I’ve owned it. Notice cord still has original bends that haven’t even settled out yet.. Today is 11/14/23 and it’s official, FLAT IRON 100% DEAD- ZERO HEAT!!! It’s only been used approx x2 dzn. times by me.. so I can assure it’s not been mishandled! Red LED turns on to confirm power source is working- no fuse blown etc.. yet, not an ounce of heat. Desperate in disbelief I unplugged restarted and waited 15 minutes at varied temp.. and please see photos, I am holding iron clamped shut on my hand turned to 400° plugged in with proof of led light source- and not an ounce of heat!! Want to inform so you don’t get caught racing out to make a meeting on time.. to be left standing freshly blow dried and in need to flat iron.. but have nothing!! In all appearance, this is a perfect size and design that feels of a substantial weight- iron felt durable and robust- one that should have integrity. No loose or rattling pieces on interior. Spending ample time researching an economical flat iron that doesnt have lower than 4 stars was not easy till I found this. Tbh, I do expect to replace my hair iron every 6mo. bc of the price point- if wanting iron to maintain ability to function at top heat. ($25 at time of purchase.) BUT, DYING AT 35 DAYS IS FAR BEYOND MADDENING- 5 days past return window.. leaving me without an option, my money and puts me back to square x1 to find a new one- no compensation for the buyer!! When it did function: I would’ve given a B- rating.. quirks I could live with.. not the hottest- and a bit difficult to use on shorter bangs- but I made it work. Full heat time was more x5-7min for all over evenly dispersed heat at desired temp. and results did need x2-3 swipes over each section to achieve intended outcome. Unfortunately, one month of owning I get to throw it in the trash. Not something I would endorse or recommend being it has all the ability to quit prematurely. Hope this helps make informed decisions…as one who has validity in their reviews by ranking- hopefully you trust the info to be straight forward. Stay safe everyone.

I’ve never had long hair and a straightener at the same time before. This straightener is easy to hold, easy to use, easy to set and easy to handle. It heats up and cools down fast. I’ve never properly straightened my whole head of past shoulder length hair, and holy cow, it is crazy. I have really thick, really coarse, wavy hair that’s color processed. I have a LOT of hair, so it took me a while to straighten all of it. I worked with fully dry, previously air dried hair in sections, and in sessions, throughout and over the span of a few hours, on a Sunday. I used heat protectant spray thoroughly which I absolutely insist you use on your own hair as well any time you use this tool, (if you see smoke that’s bad!) I usually air dry and I always use a curling iron and more recently a curling tool for styling my hair, but this flat iron definitely provides an entirely new aesthetic that you can’t get with a curling tool. I couldn’t believe how fancy it made me look/feel after I went through and carefully straightened my entire head of hair, (doing just the top layer or just the ends doesn’t work, you’ve gotta straighten it all from top to bottom, root to (almost) end to get that smooth, straight, rich, really polished look) and I was amazed at how … condensed? compressed? my hair was. Straightening your hair reduces the volume of it, makes it somehow take up less space, makes it less… poofy. I looked and felt fancy. I wore a blazer, I apologized for nothing. I flossed, I moisturized with my fancy moisturizer and I drank fancy smoothies. I told my cats they were fired if they didn’t shape up! The cats, as is their custom, responded with piqued interest, enthusiasm, and deference. In summation- don’t flat iron your hair because of social pressure from cats or anyone else. Don’t flat iron your hair every day, or every other day, or for too long. Don’t flat iron your hair without heat protectant, or when it’s wet, or when it’s already too damaged. DO flat iron your hair as a personal choice. Do flat iron your hair carefully, meticulously, and at the absolute bare minimum temp and time that it takes. DO flat iron your hair in sections, using heat protectant, when it’s dry. DO flat iron your hair with this flat iron if you’re thinking of getting one, because I even as a total noob and I was able to use this thing intuitively, to great results, the very first time I tried it. It’s effectively plug and play, and if it will straighten my incredibly thick, wavy, longest-it’s-ever-been-in-my-life mane, I bet it can do yours, too.

The straightener works really well. Easy to use. Heats up really fast. Has different heat settings. Helps with the frizz. Small and lightweight so easy to hold and store. Was worth getting. Works great on different hair types. Use on me and my girls. My hair is somewhat straight but frizzy. My oldest is wavy and kind of frizzy. And my youngest is curly-haired.
