Chairs are very sturdy with a nice wide seat. I like the option of having a cushion back or the nice wood back. Fairly easy to put together - but I’m not sure if the legs will damage the carpet over time.

It's not a bad little chair. If you like the MCM aesthetic (and I do), you'll probably enjoy the look of it. The seat is nice and wide so you can spread out and relax, and if you find the wooden chair back too stiff, you can Velcro an optional cushion over it, which I did. There were only six pieces, including the optional cushion, so assembly is pretty easy. It will take you about an hour to put it together. The box comes with some spare parts and a touch-up pen, which are both nice bonuses. And the levelers on each chair leg are a welcome addition in an old house like ours with uneven floors. Now for the not-so-great stuff. You'll spend about half of your assembly time fussing with the bolts. At least half of the holes didn't line up, forcing me to screw in some of the bolts on an angle. A few of them just wouldn't go in all the way. But the chair seemed sturdy enough when completed, so I guess all's well. One of the metal bars was also slightly bent at the end. I had to push pretty hard to slide it in place as a result. Also, the arms are too short and stubby to be useful. In terms of design, they look good. You just can't rest your arms on them. I did find them useful, though, for pushing off when I was ready to stand up. One last small quibble: I couldn't pull the wrinkles out of the fabric on the optional cushion, no matter how much I tightened the Velcro. Maybe they'll work themselves out over time. This will overall be a nice addition to my man-loft attic space. I don't know that I would have paid $200 for it, though. ... show more

I purchased this set of 2 Watson & Whitely Accent Chair Set of 2, Mid-Century Modern Chair, Upholstered Lounge Armchair with Metal Frame & Removable Cushion, Side Chair for Living Room Coffee Chair, Fabric in Cream. Wow! The assembly was very easy to do! The metal frames of the chairs are super strong and very sturdy. The height is good, the width size is overly generous, and the beige color is neutral and blends with other decor besides mid-century modern. I'm using the material back rests to make the chairs more comfortable, but like others, the wrinkles detract somewhat. I feel that they should have been sewn with shorter fabric on the inside curve part, rather than being as long as the back length. This mid-century looking chair is built really nice and solid. It’s easy to put together. Took us about 20 minutes. The cushion is nice and soft and does not tend to mash down. It has held up very nicely. One put together the chair is nice and solid and not wobbly at all very hard to tip over. I like it as an accent chair in our den. It fits with the decor.
