  • Not allergic!
It works for me!! If it’s your first time using this on a tattoo, please do a test spot on your wrist for roughly 48 hours to evaluate if you have any allergies. I have no issues with it besides maybe some mild redness when I remove it. Best use to remove: Under hot water/in hot shower and slowly peel/pull carefully to avoid any damage to your skin or new ink lines. Use moisturizer between this and letting it breathe. Have someone help you put this on, it sucks to to alone. It won’t be pretty if you do it alone but it will absolutely work as intended. I’ve lived through creases and so can you!! Good luck!! ... show more

  • Waterproof and Adheres Well
This tattoo aftercare bandage comes in a film roll of 7.87" wide and 11 yards long, which will accommodate most tattoos as it can even be cut down to size if needed. Once the bottom adhesive layer and top protective layer are peeled off the bandage is waterproof and adheres well. It does allow some breathability, and because it is transparent viewing of the healing progress is an advantage. This film roll is a good quality and has been performing well. ... show more

  • Ideal size for tattoo wrapping
This roll of wrap is ideally sized for wrapping up finished tattoos. When used for test wraps, I found that it clings and stays in place well. These are good for keeping the area clean, they can even be used over gauze and other sorts of wound wrap to give some protection.

  • If your skin responds, it's a good option
It's important to note that everyone's skin responds to tattoos differently, and everyone's skin ends up healing in different ways after a tattoo. Add to that the actual skill and techniques of the tattoo artist to avoid blowouts, excess trauma, and preferences for speed and coverage and there's a huge amount of variables that define how you should treat your skin. For some people and artists, time shows that a simple dressing and ample cleaning and exposure to oxygen are best for rapid healing. In other cases, a skin wrap like these waterproof bandages might work better. Point being, you have to actually experiment to find the right balance for your skin and your situation. These waterproof bandages are a good option for initial coverage, to protect an area during the initial trauma, but I'd highly recommend only using these in phases for the first day along with some hearty cleaning processes to ensure everything is staying sanitary. Using a bandage like this for more than a day or so could have negative effects on your skin, so be careful, but these are a good option to protect from initial exposure and infection while the tattoo itself heals over and forms a scab layer. Using a waterproof bandage for longer than needed will certainly impact your skins ability to heal, as there are phases when your wounds must breathe to continue healing. So, try this for the initial 1/2 to full day and probably not much longer unless you're needing to protect your skin from actual environmental exposure (don't go on hikes, swim, or do yard work after getting a tattoo folks!). ... show more

  • Totally amazing stuff right here!!!
This stuff is the truth jack! It's so easy to use and so many different ways to use it! I myself find it very useful seeing as I am a professional tattoo artist. I've been at this gig for almost 2 decades and the suppliers keep coming out with such innovative and really just down right amazing products. Back when we would slab some petroleum jelly on you, cover with a paper towel and kick ya out the door where the good lord split ya! Just playing about the paper towel! No,but for real, having this stuff makes healing so so much better. Really you finish said tattoo. Clean really good, smear the tiniest bit of ointment, almost to where you cant really tell it's on there but enough to lubricate the piece. Cut a piece of this stuff I'd say just a little bit bigger than the tattoo. I like to carefully take the middle line where you can peal it back a tad and put your finger down on it against skin in the middle of tattoo. Then again carefully remove first side and press down on skin. Take the other piece and repeat. Then carefully remove the top pieces so it's just the plastic over tattoo. I then take a clean tissue and rub gently over top while pressing on it to set it. It sticks very well and you will know if you use too much jelly. It'll kinda just slide around. I love this product. Recommended to any artist alike. Also as you can see it's good for injury's ECT. Super useful and convenient product. Great deal for value. Solid 4.5/5. Little tricky at first, but practice makes perfect here people! ... show more

  • Good product for tattoo healing and good care
The tape/bandage is waterproof and also lets the new artwork be seen while you are healing. This works very well with super good adhesion, which is desirable . It can really cut down on the level of maintenance and care and attention a fresh tattoo requires, as it stays in place for several days. My shop's in a lake/upstate mountains/tourist spot. Point being during the summer people want their ink and water sports, too. Being waterproof is a huge help. I do question many of my out of the area customers about which bandaging they prefer, and it's about 50/50 for the like and dislike of the clear bandage, some prefer old skool bandage and wash and dress several times a day method. The clear bandage tends to make a "rain forest" of healing fluids from the body inside the clear bandage and is not for everyone, others don't like the adhesive sticking to the fresh ink, it's a personal matter, and I offer both to my clients. The clear bandage has a lot of good points going for it, the low maintenance , the good adhesion, and the generally good and quick results. I'm pleased with this product and can recommend it, decently priced, as well! ... show more
