I got a size 36.5 (I usually wear around a US Women’s size 5.5 to 6) and my foot circumference around my bunion is 220 mm. The toe box circumference was enough to accommodate my bunion without feeling any pressure on it when walking. These shoes are very lightweight with thin soles that are very flexible (you can stand up on your toes), but because of that, you can really feel the impact while on hard surfaces. The shoe offers many adjustable sizes on the top strap, but note that a loose setting on the 4th hole meant the end of the strap hit the floor. There’s a small heel cushion to prevent the shoe from slipping off, but it’s not plush and squishy. The original shoe insert does not offer much arch support or cushion, but you can either adhere a small arch cushion inside the shoe or replace the insert with an orthotic if you want. The insert is easily taken out. I found that the shoe side does touch my outer ankle bone which made me use something to raise my heel a bit higher to prevent the ankle trauma. The back does rub the heel when barefoot if you are doing more than just a little walking and standing. They look very cute with outfits, and I get many compliments.
