  • Great boots
Color: Cascade Brown/Bombay Brown Size: 11.5
This is my 2nd pair of pittsburghs. My 1st lasted me 15 years of hiking east and west. Put them through the spanking machine and they took it. The last soles only recently started to separate. Shoe gooed them and they are good to go. The only reason I got a new pair is my feet at 40 are fatter than 25 and I just need more room in them. I don't like the other hiking boots keene has. These have a nice leather section up the tongue to protect from lace bite. They are sturdy and have a couple lace clips to strap up. Definitely have a break in period. Hopefully I take this new to the grave... ... show more

  • So far so good - Update after one year
Color: Brown Size: 11
Update: After a year of daily wear, I'm pleased to report that these work boots have held up exceptionally well. They continue to provide the same comfort and support that I initially praised. I've been using them at the power plant, where I walk on gravel, asphalt, and frequently climb stairs and ladders, and they've consistently offered a great sense of security. Regarding the minor issue with the laces coming undone easily, it seems that with more wear and usage, they have improved and now stay tight for longer periods. Additionally, the sole has proven to be durable, even through the cold months. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend these work boots. They have exceeded my expectations and have proven to be a reliable choice for daily use in demanding environments. Original review: I like how comfortable the work boots are. They have great support and are easy to fit into. I have been using it for about 2 weeks at the power plant and they have been holding up pretty well. I walk around on gravel, asphalt and go up stairs as well as ladders and they offer great support and good sense of security. I will update after 1 year which is the minimum I expect I this price point. One minor issue are the laces that tend to come undone easily. Maybe with more wear they will hold tight longer. Also, because of how little use I have given them, I’m not sure how the sole is gonna hold up, especially with the cold months coming soon. As I mentioned before, I will update once those concerns are addressed. ... show more

  • Good Boots
Color: Brown Size: 7.5
This is my second pair of steel toe Pittsburgh's. I am a lab airflow controls technician so I spend a fair amount of time on (new and old) job sites going up and down ladders, climbing stairs, unloading and loading my tools, cart, ladder, etc. I also wear them to mow two lawns a week, work on cars/trucks, blow/shovel snow, and do whatever else needs done - I wear them 7 days a week year round. The first pair (size 8's) lasted about a year - I wore them longer than that but I probably shouldn't have. I bought this 2nd pair (7.5's) a 1/2 size smaller because, even though my feet measure just over size 8 (with the standard foot gauge plate), the 8's just seemed big once they got stretched out and worn in. The 7.5's I have now fit just right, but I do not have a wide foot either. Note that, in looking at some online shoe size charts, size 7.5 is only about 0.2" shorter in length than size 8 so there is not a lot of difference. My first pair always seemed like it really was not made right with some bumpiness around where the ball of your foot is....I definitely should have called Keen about it or taken them back to Cabelas but did not have the time to mess with it. Towards the end, the inside of the first pair got really bumpy. This 2nd pair (the 7.5's) seems fine in that respect so far, so with respect to the fit and no bumpiness, I really like this 2nd pair so far. On my first pair, the outside of my left hip started hurting (age 57) at about 6 months so, following a buddy's advice, I bought some Dr Scholl's Orthotic Inserts (not cheap at $49) that are selected by the Scholl's machine at Walmart. Within a couple days, my hip was fine. I suppose once this new pair starts breaking down some I may have to do the same thing. The same thing happened with my Danner's, which were before my first pair of Pittsburgh's. (My buddies have told me when it is the outside of your hip it probably has something to do with your back, but if it's the inside of your hip then it is more likely actually your hip.) If these get bumpy on the inside or maybe just to try something else, I may try the Keen Milwaukee's next. A buddy of mine that is a framer went from the Pittsburgh to the Milwaukee's but that was mainly because the Pittsburgh's were too narrow for him and he did not realize you can get them in a wide width. As far as price goes, the $167 I paid through Amazon Prime was cheaper than Cabelas at $179 + tax......but I see now the Amazon price is up to $179 too, and I guess good boots ARE expensive, but man, still seems like a bend-over.....something like $139 would be more like it ! ... show more

  • Satisfied!!!
Color: Cascade Brown/Bombay Brown Size: 11
The most comfortable work boot ever made!! I have been working warehouse jobs for the past 30 plus years so about 10 years ago I purchased a pair of the same boots used off of Facebook marketplace and they did not disappoint. I tried on my new pair and I tell you nothing compares to the comfort in the toe box and the arch ... show more

  • Comfort and safety and longevity.
Color: Brown Size: 11.5
Everything you would expect from Keen. I only had one keen boot that didn’t meet my expectations. Keen replaced them. Gives me the confidence to continue doing business with Keen. I get lots of miles out of there, hiking boots too.

  • Great lightweight, composite work boots!
Likes: Best boot I've had that needs minimal break-in time. Lightweight! I'm on my 5th pair. Dislikes: They last 1 - 1 1/2 years. The sole usually wears out in spots and develops a hole (don't step in puddles!). Wishlist: Make a custom ordering option. Eg. my left foot is a little wider than my right foot. It would be great to order 2-different sizes for left/right foot. My latest pair (in black) is taking longer than normal to break-in (ordered directly from Keen a month ago). My 3rd & 4th toes on my left foot are rubbing on the top of the boot's sewing seams. Not fun. I'm hoping the boot will stretch a bit soon to prevent this chafing! Bottom line: if you're looking for a comfortable, lightweight workbook, consider Keen! ... show more
