I love the product. It works so well to get food particles that flossing can miss and I love the portability to take traveling and keep my counter less cluttered. I use it a couple times a day. I have a couple of root canals and “pockets” where food gets stuck and it’s so frustrating. Trying to floss it’s out sometimes leads to injury but the waterpik works instantly every time. They have a 1 year warranty. My waterpik wouldn’t turn on for some reason after 4 months. I got on their website via a link through my Amazon order info and chose the live chat option. Immediately, a rep responded and walked me through some trouble shooting steps. When those didn’t work, she filed a warranty claim and they’re sending me a new one! Took only a few minutes and minimal effort. They just asked a few questions on the product, did the trouble shooting and requested either a pdf of the order details or a screenshot. New 4-star review on 1/15/24 They finally both died after 3 years of initial use, careful cleaning and frequent battery changes. I still think it's a good product that does a great job at helping keep build-up at bay, together with brushing and flossing. I will buy a new one because of the travel convenience and the strong water pressure. Moral of the story: it will crap out and is not meant to last a lifetime, but it did what it was meant for and helped me restore healthier oral hygiene. ---------------------------------------- 5-start review I own two, one used twice/day at home and the other one once at work. The first one bought on Amazon, the other at a Walmart a few months later while on a trip when I realized I had forgotten my first one. This waterpik works great and is easy to use and travel with. The seal on one once no longer held the tank in place so buy a pack of the below and use the 7/8*3/32" o-ring (2nd from the right, bottom row on the photo of the box) and you'll be good to go again. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098B1P1P5?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I've had no problems with the battery case corroding but I also don't let it sit in water which is the only thing I can think could lead to the damage some have mentioned. The strong pressure is great if your gums are healthy which means you really should floss too. The pik isn't an alternative to flossing but a complement. Ditto re brushing, Folks! I've dropped both of my units by accident and they still work so I think they're pretty sturdy. It does drain batteries but not as fast as I had anticipated. I find this more effective and easier to use than floss. It used batteries fairly quickly and after a couple of years, the on/off switch started to cause issues and eventually stopped working.

To be honest I almost returned the Water Pik. Luckily I read the instructions several times and I didn’t give up. I love it now. So easy once you get used to it. Filling the reservoir up with Brita water (my personal choice), I use the lowest level, lean over the sink, turn on at lowest level already in your mouth. Keep your mouth slightly open so the water drains into the sink. It was a learning curve for me but so happy I didn’t give up and return it. ... show more

I don't entirely know how I should review this. It works, and that should not be a surprise since this is the name brand. It is one of the cheapest options for a water flosser at about $30 and a good option if you want to try one out for the first time. Mine also stopped working (temporarily) after 1 year and 9 months. I don't know if the quality or the design of the internals is the real issue. It was a decent run for the price, but the name brand shouldn't suddenly fail like that. I think my ultimate issue was that the rotating arm you can see in the picture wiggled out of place, making it appear to be broken because it could not turn on. It worked again after reassembly, so it remains to be seen how long the internals will last. They look to be pretty good quality. For anyone else who had theirs stop working after a year or two, this should be fixable by just prying off the power slider (preferably with something plastic so you don't scratch it) and rotating/pressing the crank piece back into place. Make sure any flying plastic pieces don't get lost. If that doesn't do it, you will have to carefully cut through the weld at the bottom of the device and remove the slider and mouthpiece before sliding the internals out. A youtuber called TanakaBeat made a video showing how to do it for a similar model. The pros: Cheap, potentially good for travel, works fairly well, lasted nearly 2 years so far The cons: bad design so that it stops working after a year or two (until fixed), difficult to disassemble to fix their bad design ... show more
