It would be nice if the packaging was more presentable especially for a gift. Inside, eight beads were provided. It is a stiff sponge material and not very absorptive. The oil was sitting on top of the bead and I had to rub it in. The scent will last a couple hours depending on how many drops. The necklace itself is very beautiful and felt very sturdy especially for the price. The necklace piece has to be removed in order to open the locket. It is a little bit of a hassle, but it will stay in place as long as you have the necklace on. I have a rather big head, and I was able to slip it right over.
