  • Saved me so much work
Definably worth reading the directions, but straight forward. Worked great.

  • Great Build Quality
Great product. Having a portable winch is so convenient. 1000lb isn’t a huge amount of force so consider snatch blocks to augment this. Also, get in the habit of taking the battery out every single time. It’s annoyingly easy to leave the on button flipped which drains the battery completely, them a month later when you need it you find the battery dead. Other than that, very reliable and great quality product. ... show more

  • Used as snowmobile winch
I got my snowmobile hopelessly buried in deep, wet snow. We rode the other sled home and got this winch and extra gear. It spooled-out very slowly. It is supposed to pull 1000#, but it wouldn’t budge the ~500# sled (and all the heavy snow trapped in the carriage). I put a snatch-block on the setup and only then (with the load halved) with rocking and surging the engine, would the sled move forward an inch, then another, etc. It wasn’t perfect, but I’m glad I had it. I was worried that the battery would die, but I never did find that point after all that effort. I wanted a SnoWinch, but Warn discontinued that. I suspect that I will also be able to use this around the house to hoist heavy things. I replaced the wire rope with synthetic rope, and now it weighs 17Lb 2 Oz.....so, it is not light. I wish it had more than just 15ft. of line. WARN, BRING BACK THE SNOWINCH! ... show more

  • Worked the first time
Worked well for me the first time I used it. Put it on shelf for about six months, dead battery and it wouldn't charge. I'm within 1 year warranty, so we'll see if Warn will send replacement as they promised. Until that happens, I may have overrated this product.

  • Exceeded our expectations
I wish we had a video of this but we managed to pull a half ton Chevy truck with three tires that had only 20 psi of air in 3 tires and one completely flat that had been sitting for years on a car trailer using chains and nothing else but this battery warn winch and it didn't let us down. I admit we were nervous but after that we are all telling our friends to get one it's definitely worth it. ... show more

  • Garbage
Used this once. Tried to use it again after two months and the battery has an error and won’t charge. Unit is also very cheaply made. This is Chinese made garbage. Replaced it with a Rhino 1000 portable winch. Way more features, synthetic line, remote control, and best of all, it actually works.

  • This thing is awesome. You won't be disappointed
Used it several times. I have some property and I often work alone. When things get heavy (Rocks/boulders, trees), this sucker comes in handy. Glad i bought it.

  • Thing is ok
I really like this thing. My only problem with it is the battery doesn’t last very long for what I use it for. I have the 120v one. It’s amazing
