While reading this review, keep in mind that I bought these as a present so I only have first impressions. The potato peeler is trash, it is made completely out of cheap flimsy plastic and you're better off just throwing it away. The knives however, felt pretty nice, not luxury or anything, but with them being under $10 they were better than I was expecting. They had some weight to them and were made out of metal. They were extremely dull however, but as long as you are able to sharpen them, I think this is a wonderful set of knives for a great price.     • Not a good investment...
This is a nice "pretty" knife set. But pretty only gets you so far, I love the color finish. However, on one knife the finish appears light. I've had sharper knives, but I'm hoping that they don't need sharpening anytime soon and that the permanent finish doesn't come off. I do like that each knife comes with a blade cover so there are no accidents in the drawer. Plus, everything is dishwasher safe. Even the covers, though I put them on the top rack just in case. Out of a couple of similar sets, I chose this one due to the claim of being sharp and the assumption that this "pretty" potato peeler would perform as expected. This thing wouldn't peel the fuzz off a peach. It now looks "pretty" in my trashcan. Would I reccomend this to family or friends? I really don't know... Maybe a different set without the peeler. Addendum: Now that I've had these knives for awhile, it's become quite apparent that they are dull, dull, dull! Now I'm looking for an efficient knife sharpener to salvage my initial investment. The color right now appears only as a thin coating and will disappear when I'm done sharpening. **The color did come off where the blades came in contact with the sharpener. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These knives have been of good use, they are a great value. I do not eat meat, but they do a great job chopping hard veggies. I make cooking videos on IG and these work fantastically. They are just as good as a fancy knife set!

    • Inexpensive Knives - Sharp with thick Sheaths
SO the peeler is 100% plastic. INCLUDING the blade. I don't think it will last, but that's NOT why I bought these knives. I purchased them for travel. When we travel - whether it's in the EU or US we stay in a lot of "housekeeping" places, Air BNB's, etc., and tend to cook a lot - and the knives in these rentals are generally awful. These knives are sharp and fairly well balanced, even with plastic handles. The sheaths are super solid and I will have no trouble slipping into a bag and into my CHECKED luggage. And yes - I also travel with a wine/bottle opener, ultralight cutting board, bag clips and a cache of reusable silicone ziploc bags. You can never be too prepared. ... show more

I bought these knives for my daughter as she got her own place and needed a good knife set to start out. Her favorite color is blue as well so I thought I would try it. They were even better than I expected. Sturdy and nice and sharp. They also came exactly as pictured and rather swiftly too. :)

Very sharp, they are not the type you see that slice razor sharp but they do the job. I wash them by hand and store them sheathed. I love the color as I can see them right away in the drawer, the cheese cutter is ok, nothing to like or dislike but I wasn’t concerned with anything but getting some good knives on a budget. 👍 ... show more

A small set but a worth your money set. I've bought this for about a month now, and I used it just about everyday. Yesterday I used it to cut a watermelon and it sliced the rind like it was a piece of lettuce. Check it out if you're looking to replace some but not all of your cutlery.

This knife set comes with good quality wood handles. Metal seems nice and shiny edge stays sharper for long and can cut toughest of food like butter( off course it’s new now and later would need some sharpening). Until now it’s feels like it’s worth it. Will update this review as we’re going through. ... show more
