Used it to finish a cutting board I made from a tree my family had to cut down. I had been looking for a good food-safe option after I found out the resin I used for a coffee table wouldn’t cut it. Purchased this wax to complement some Walrus Oil cutting board oil and tried it for the first time on a butcher block countertop I made. It requires a thicker coat than other waxes I have used, but I was really satisfied with the results. Do yourself a favor and read up on application instructions on their website and other woodworking blogs. If I hadn’t been expecting it, I would have been a bit alarmed at how tacky it goes on and how long it takes to dry. After some patience, the finished product turned out great. ... show more

I've been using this stuff for a little over a year and it is magical. Makes the colors really pop. I make several cuttingboards a week, I guess I need to get the subscription so it's a little cheaper.

    • Wow, love how water repellent this wax is.
I had a customer Pink Floyd The Wall 3" thick cutting board made custom and it came with the regular walnut oil. I had never heard of it so after researching read the wax would be a great compliment to the oil. So glad I decided to try. Seals the board up so nicely and when I checked on the water repellent factor, the water beaded up really nicely. Will buy again! ... show more
