Easy to use. In my case, the color match was perfect. It came in handy to cover up scratches on my cabinets. I would caution to be careful first time you use as the marker dispenses too much liquid the first time you use.

Easy to use, coverage needs improvement. It definitely helped to color in the lighter, unstained areas where the scratches/dings are, but it could have been thicker to really make them disappear instead of simply making them less visible.

I used this product in the dark walnut espresso color to finish off a Old English redo of a really scuffed up very old all wood dresser. The OE was best for 90% of the job but the Varathane product was essential to finish up with deeper scratches, scrapes, thin paint streaks (probably from moving the dresser in a car), small divots and especially chips in the veneer as those wouldn't take up the OE well at all. The result is just stunning considering the minimum effort & cost involved. It makes the idea of a full refinish not desirable or worthwhile. The label indicates Varathane has matching products for a full refinish that this product complements so if I do a complete redo on something I will probably look to Varathane for the whole job. I used a slightly darker color on the dresser than its basic finish which works perfectly as any dings would naturally look darker not lighter. I made the mistake of trying the pen on the top surface but it dries so fast you can't smooth it out and it shows so use it and love it for touch ups of what you couldn't get, or for a repair. This is just ok. Thought it was a stain repair pen for scratches and chips in dark wood furniture. Get tired of buying the 5 pen kits and only using one color for what I need. This was more like a dark wood paint....almost black. I kept it cause it DOES cover flaws...but not like I expected.

I have four kids and we all use our dining table from Cost Plus W0rld M&rket every day for eating, homework, and DIY projects. While the kids are little I'm not going to refinish the table, so I try to touch it up. I bought two other markers for this purpose and both of them rubbed off fairly quickly - they just couldn't stick to a polyurethaned surface. This is the marker that finally stayed put. It covers scratches, knots that have crumbled out a little bit, a repaired spot I used wood filler on and sanded, and the edges of the periphery of the table. The color is a great match for the walnut finish on the table. I've also used the pen for new chairs I bought that my cats scratched by playing with each other, and for a few minor spots that didn't have full color finish on them on the backside's crossbars. The touch ups look great. In full light, if you tilt the chair you can see a slight difference in sheen for both the chairs and the table, but it's good enough for me and the value of the furniture. When visitors come over, no one notices the touch ups. They also dried really fast too. Excellent to have on hand if you have kids or pets and dark colored furniture. ... show more

Didn’t do anything to remedy the scratch. I used it on the floor. Not refundable to Amazon either. Don’t bother as it was a waste of money.
