I had high hopes but was disappointed. The waffles this waffle iron makes are thin and flimsy. There is no cook time or temperature control, there is only one setting - "barely cooked". Leaving the waffles in for multiple cycles doesn't work as the temperature sensor is set so low that it will take so long to start another cook cycle that it will cool down, and no matter how long you wait you will never get a crispy golden waffle. It's mostly made of plastic. The cooking surfaces are screwed on, making cleaning the iron very impractical. They are nonstick, but if the nonstick coating is made as cheaply as the rest of the unit, this iron will certainly be your #1 source of dietary teflon. Also, the second any batter spills off of the nonstick plates, it will cook onto the plastic surfaces around them which are very much "stick". To add insult to injury, the waffles in the picture were definitely made by a different waffle iron and then creatively placed into the shot. The waffles this iron makes are the mere suggestion of heart shaped. I bought this hoping it would make a cute gimmick for a party, but after seeing the results of using it, i'm glad i tested it beforehand as i would have been embarrassed to serve anyone with this. ... show more

This product is absolutely AMAZING. Not sure why the reviews are not ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. As long as you know how to mix up batter, pour, and set a timer. Your cake will come out perfect. I love that I can use this to make cakes without heating up my house. I have zero dislikes.

There is a "removal tool" that you are instructed to add to the bottom of the baker. However, if you do that the lid doesn't close, and the next instruction is to close the lid. Instead of trying to use that thing, a piece of parchment paper would work as well, with tabs on the sides for lifting. Just throw that lifter tool away if you plan to bake cakes.
