These sconces were EXACTLY what I needed! I have an office with high ceilings and needed better lighting over the desk/counter on this end of the room. I wanted to hang sconces, but could not afford to have them hard-wired and if I found corded fixtures, they would be too high to reach to turn switch on and off. These offered the PERFECT solution. I rarely leave reviews, and when I do, it’s because something was so bad I just couldn’t help but vent about it. However, these lamps made my day and they deserve a review. I’m flipping a house and have probably ordered 100 Amazon household items this month. Most are par or sub par. These lamps were not any huge part of the flip and were a tiny purchase compared to most, but the quality stood out. 1. Easy installation. 2. Came with their own light bulbs!!! And nice ones at that. 3. Feel sturdy and well made. Even the cord looks nice. Tilt and turn easily. 4. The dimmability! So smooth. I have very expensive knob-dim lights of my own, and these were equal or better. No buzz, smooth brightening and dimming, all thanks to both to lamps and the provided bulbs. These lamps went right on the wall to either side of my bed when they arrived, and I couldn't be happier. Pairing was simple with the included instructions (got it on the first try). I received a defective bolt critical to the install, but was able to modify it to work. I absolutely love the ability to adjust the light temperature and brightness. These are great little lamps for the price. They are well constructed and have a durable finish. I can see where most people would find it convenient to have an on/off switch in the cord and a dimmer at the base of the lamp. I elected to use smart bulbs instead of the ones provided. When I installed the smart bulbs and set the manual dimmer to 100%, if I tried to use an app (such as KASA or Alexa) to dim them, I could not get below 75% before they begin to blink. So I took their dimmer out of the circuit and now my bulbs will dim consistently to one percent. They look great and work great. No complaints. ... show more

These were very easily to install! They have two ways of controlling The light. One knob on the light allows you to dim the light or turn it on and off. There is an additional switch along the cord that allows you to turn the light on and off without reaching up to the light fixture. Gold color is beautiful! These lights work great and were easy to install. I put them on my bed headboard. It's nice to be able to turn on one light on dim to be able see to get up at night or to have brighter lights to read by. The remote is easy to use and very handy.

I ordered this to use as a grow light since it’s adjustable and not as hideous as other lights are. I removed the dimmer on it and popped in a grow light bulb and it’s perfect now for my plants while being pretty!

I took a chance with these sconces/reading lamps and honestly didn’t have high hopes. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these - the shades are a reasonable guage of metal (not flimsy), the knobs and hardware are all metal and feel solid. I didn’t realize that the included LED bulbs have 3 color temperatures, which I appreciate more than I anticipated. It should be noted that the dimmer function only works with the remote; using the power knob, you can choose the color temp like a traditional 3-way lamp, but to refine both the brightness of the light and the color temperature, you’ll need the remote (which is quite compact, lightweight, and intuitive). I specifically opted for these lights because they offer both the corded and hard-wired option. They are currently cord-powered but it’s nice that the hardware included is the same one would use when hard wiring. I have expensive tastes but a frugal budget. I’d rather save for a few nice things than have cheap-looking/feeling alternatives that won’t last. In my opinion, this was a great buy - it looks and feels like a higher-end lamp at an affordable price. ... show more
