After about 6 months of use, I'll say that it was a good buy. No rust and still sturdy after pretty extensive use on an exterior deck have been positive signs. The angle of the railing doesn't quite match the normal rise of regular step risers but it is close enough that it is still comfortable to use.

Purchased one and went back for a second. This is of good quality and looks great at our entry door. I like the fact that no cement drilling need be done. However, in my opinion, you must be able to secure it to a 2 x 4 to ensure stability. It comes with hardware but we found the screws too short for securing, in our particular situation. Husband went to a local hardware store and purchased longer screws too short ensure safety and stability. We highly recommend this item so long as it is properly installed.

I installed this for my elderly mother to get up my front steps. It was nice that I did not have to drill into the concrete to install it and it seems very solid. She is short so I was able to install it at just the height she preferred. She was very pleased and enjoyed using it. I doctor star because the heads of the screws included seemed to strip really easily. There are 3 pairs of holes on the railing and it is difficult to use the center ones because of their location. I ended up stripping the heads before I got the screws tight even though I had drilled pilot holes. It seems fine because the other two pair held well. Otherwise it seems solid and well constructed.

Great looking rail, very sturdy. But...where we wanted to attach it we ran into problems. The 8 M drill bit (we had to buy because we didn't have that size) drilled a too big of a hole. On the left side it was all into the sheet-rock and thus it crumbled. The holes on the right hit something hard in the back and all went skewed. By then my spouse was totally disgusted, threw the drill down and walked off. I went back inside and had to put a step rail (one that attaches to the step floor not the wall) on my wish list. So, now I have to patch all the holes and still have no rail. This one I will attach to my deck so all is not lost. Not what I wanted but I'll make lemonade out of lemons! 😉 😄 The Rail itself is fantastic.
