I used this set of hinges to hang a wooden gate that is about five feet wide and six feet tall onto a metal post. It has been in place for about two months now, and so far it is working exactly how I hoped. These are not polished, pretty hinges. The welds are rough and the finish looks very utilitarian, so if you want something decorative for a front entry this probably is not it. That said, everything about them feels solid. Once installed, the gate swings cleanly and there is no noticeable sag or extra play. Based on how they are holding this gate, I feel comfortable saying they live up to the heavy duty label, and I would not hesitate to use this same set on my other gates where I care more about strength than looks.

I really needed some low-profile, wall-mount gate hinges for a lightweight gate we have. We had used some pipe tape in a pinch, but of course, that was not the ideal solution. When I came across this set of hinges, I knew they would offer the solution we were looking for. Easy to install and durable. The gate functions much better and looks like it should (not like we live in a scrap yard). A nice value for the money.

I put up a 3 foot tall treated wood fence around a 12x30 kids pool. I used 4x4 posts, 2x6 rails, and spindles to complete the fence. I just needed something to build a 3x3 gate to secure the area. These did the job for mounting to one of the 4x4 and then constructing a small chain link fence to go on the hinges. The welds on the hinges could be a little better, as it doesn't go fully around the round peg where it attaches to the mounting plate. I don't think I have any worries since my gate is only 3x3. Might be more concerned on the weld if the gate was bigger and heavier. 4 stars for my usage.

These worked well for our application. We have a narrow walkway next to the garage and needed a low-profile method of mounting a chain link gate on the side of the building so the walkway would still be usable. These hinges take up less room than mounting a 2x4 to the wall. We installed wood blocking in the garage wall and drilled through the stucco to screw these into the blocking. We used 1/2 inch lag screws and they *almost* fit through the holes, but not quite. My husband drilled the holes out to make them a little bigger, and that worked fine. Once installed, the gate hangs securely. However, it's a little tight. It might benefit from some oil, but we're going to leave it alone. I don't think it's misaligned, but it could be since it's chain link, which is highly adjustable. Anyway, it works fine. These made the whole process of installing a new gate easier, are heavy duty, and are compatible with standard gate hardware. The welds are a little sloppy, but it's chain link so I don't think anyone will notice or care. However, we had our house tented for termites and the estimator actually noticed these and was impressed. Wish parts like this were more widely available and easier to find.

I needed some heavy duty gate hinges for my 5’ wide chain link gate. These work nicely. I mount the bottom hinge pointing up and the top hinge pointing down. This prevents someone from just lifting your locked gate out of the way. Installation is pretty easy, but you’ll need your own hardware. The galvanizing looks good and should last years in the weather. I hope this helps you make your decision! I keep up with my reviews and will revisit this one should the need arise. I give these hinges my Big-Foot “Stomp” of approval and 5 stars!

I hope these will serve their purpose but I’m disappointed in the construction and quality of these. As you can see from the pictures, the welds are messy and they are not straight. They do not look like the pictures on the product page and I’m worried about how they will function since they are not plumb. They will easily screw into a wall or post so at least I can remove them easily if they fail. The fit is the correct size I need but I will likely order from another manufacturer to replace these.
