The media could not be loaded. The instructions aren't very specific but it's pretty easy to install. Just install it on the side of the gate that swings toward you so it pulls the gate closed. Adjustment is easy, just tighten or loosen the spring tension by rotating the end with the small holes and then putting the stopper peg in position so the spring tension keeps it in place. This gate closed fine as long as it was swung closed with some force but on occasion, it would be kept from latching by wind blowing or not being swung hard enough resulting in our dog being able to roam the neighborhood. Now it latches almost without fail, and even if it doesn't latch, the spring holds pressure on the gate to keep it up against the latch so it still looks closed.

Works well to close a gate or keep it closed in the wind. The spring will stretch and deform a bit after awhile. I've not had to tighten it up with the lock piece that comes with, but, I assume that would make it even tighter and stronger.

If you like: hearing BANG!! everytime a guest or delivery warrior leaves your place, feeling the ground underneath your feet grumble and violently shake like a 5.0 earthquake (from the bang), watching your windows all but burst from the aftershock vibrations ( from the bang), Saturday metal springs, the color black or cool steel contraptions in general… then this product is made just for you.
