For Chevy Silverado 1500 V6 Cat Pipe Assembly: Giving it one star because it is not direct fit (OEM) as advertised, and it does not mate with the walker flex pipe 54944 that it's supposed to connects to. It should tighten with the walker 36522 clamp but it wobbles around with about a 1/4 inch of play. The clamp will not tighten because the spherical ball outlet is not the same as OEM. OEM has a ridge that engages the clamp. This pipe does not tighten on their own product using their clamp? They never assembled the 3 pieces in the factory to check the fit? WTF!!! I will say the pipe and cats themselves seem to be of higher quality than other units out there. The pipes have OEM style and diameter.5 stars for that aspect. This is not a bolt on OEM replacement. If you can deal with the added expense and time of welding and adapters this should work fine but you are locked into that for the life of the truck. Quick note on the photos: You can see in picture one the difference in height between the female spherical ball receiver and the male side (The outlet side of the cat assembly.) Those surfaces have to be equal in order for the band clamp to tighten properly. It locks on the female side but not the male side resulting in the loose connection shown in picture two. So far so good. It fit and it works. The quality seems as good as any. That’s about all you can ask of a part. It fits, it functions and quality seems good. A mechanic for 50 years.

    • Poor packing from the sender. It came in with the ball socket end all dented out of shape.
This shipping issue could be solved with a wood cover plate and a little extra shipping tape. Other than the packaging from the sender, the product worked well.

The Y pipe fit exactly as described. I put it on my 2015 Chevy Tahoe LT. The welds were nice and clean. Quality craftsmanship. I purchased this from Amazon because it was much cheaper than the prices I was quoted from the shops in town. I recommend this product.

Haven't even got it installed all the way yet! I HATE leaving a bad review but it is so much different than the original. I believe the volume of the front 2 converts is prolly the same but the lack of quality and it was damaged or creased BEFPRE they sent it because the packing slip was over the damaged area! I've already got my truck tore down so I hope it's not got a pin hole. My dad was a Class A Pipe welder most of his life so I know what welds are supposed to look like. And this ain't it. BB's everywhere. Curls left inside tubing from drilling holes for weld-o-lets. Bends aren't smooth. Was overheat then tried to fix. I hope it even bolts up! Oh and the slip flange isn't a third of the thickness of the factory one I took off.. I understand making as many, as fast as you can, but still a lil better quality in my opinion! If it bolts and lasts, I'll come and adjust this, but for now this is, what it is! ... show more

    • So far so good!
Had the P0430 on a 2016 Tahoe. Changed spark plugs and 02 sensors and cleared for a while but came back. Replaced the cat and so far so good! Code cleared on its own and seems to idle better.
