This is a nice looking, and fairly sturdy cabinet. Assembly takes about 1.5 hours to 2 hours. Once assembled, it's sturdy enough to be moved around without falling to pieces. The finish on the particle-board panels is actually quite good. The wood grain isn't convincing, but the color is attractive and evenly applied to the surfaces, with no ugly spots. The 70x16 top surface is large enough to hold my TV, my DAC, and my large vintage turntable with room to spare for a BluRay player and small cable box. Nice! My complaints are: 1. The inner shelves are quite shallow compared to the top surface board. Getting a stereo amp in required removing the rear panel on one compartment. Not a huge deal. 2. The instructions have a few spots where the image does not quite match the actual product. Even with the panel you're working on oriented like it is in the booklet, the booklet will show holes in the wrong places, etc. But, it's quite self-explanatory how things go together so this shouldn't be a big problem unless you're the sort who accidentally glues parts to your forehead or something. 3. The assembly hardware is the cheapest, worst form of pot-metal garbage imaginable. One mis-step with the screwdriver and you'll have a broken bit of hardware. Thankfully, WE includes 2 extras of almost every hardware item in the box. 4. The metal dowels to hold the upper shelves in are pathetic. Too small, too short, and fit too loosely in their openings. Don't put anything heavier than a stack of BluRays on those. The bottom shelves are sturdy though. Overall a pretty decent bit of cheap furniture for the price. This product was an excellent purchase for me. It is affordable and yet the final product is sturdy, beautiful and very functional. I was impressed by how well everything fit during the assembly. Very ingeniously conceived and the assembly pictures are very detailed. You have to carefully follow the assembly instructions and the results will be excellent. It does take a long while to assemble. I did it by myself so it is doable with one person but it would be easier to have two people. They supply extra screws and assembly parts, which is terrific. The amount of glue for the dowels they supply is not enough though. No big deal, just have some ready before you start the assembly and problem solved. Sometimes when you assemble products and you reach the end part things don’t quite fit well and you have to backtrack. With this product everything was so precise that the top part fell into place by itself once I put it in the right location. ... show more

Great TV stand! Instructions were very clear, seemed a bit daunting at first but once I got started it went smoothly and only took about an hour. All of the pieces and hardware were included, nothing missing and extras included too. Make sure to use hand tools and not power tools, hand tight is plenty for this application. A longer size of the included Allen key would be great, the one it comes with was a little tough to use sometimes. A couple of pieces’ correct orientation was hard to see on the instructions, however they were all easy to quickly reverse. I am 29 weeks pregnant, and put this together by myself. I really love the white wood grain color, and the size is wonderful. We ordered this to accommodate a future TV upgrade, and because it has enough shelves for all of our gaming systems and our dedicated home media server. I'm really impressed with how sturdy it is all put together, and it looks so good in our living room. All of the holes were aligned correctly and predrilled deep enough. It went together pretty seamlessly. The ONLY thing I struggled with was the 4 hex-head screws and the allen wrench provided. The hexagonal hole in the heads isn't very deep, and the allen wrench isn't very big...those 4 screws took me the most time. I also have fibromyalgia and it killed my hands. If the handle on the wrench were a bit bigger to actually get a grip for torque, and if the hex-heads were just a bit deeper so the wrench didn't keep popping out...I wouldn't have a single complaint! This replaced a Better Homes & Gardens TV hutch that originally cost a lot more than this...and this is by far much sturdier. ... show more

First, I do want to echo a couple other reviews. The box was pretty beat up.. It was most likely caused by FedEx due to the length and weight. But luckily it is very well packed in Styrofoam and was well protected. You will want help bringing in the box at 87 pounds. Give yourself an hour to put it together. Instructions are pretty easy and it was pretty straight forward. There are many dowels to install and glue. There are other various screws and hardware to attach. It is not hard but takes time and is much easier if there are two people. If you have a TV like mine (LG 65 inch) that has legs on each edge of the TV you need a wide stand. A number of tvs say the support the weight but I need a full 56 inch minimum width. It looks perfect on this. It is a very beautiful stand. It is very simplistic and old school which is exactly like I wanted. You would think it's fine furniture to look at it. My only other comment would be to have a vacuum handy. There will be lots of little pieces of Styrofoam to clean up when finished. I would buy one again in a second though. The time and work was well worth it.
