We love the frame. The tapered corners are great as it is a lower frame and we have a bit of tight space around it. My partner mostly put it together and it was a bit of a pain but doable. There was one metal piece to go at the joints that didn’t have existing holes for… so we didn’t drill it in. Not sure if this was a defect on our frame but it doesn’t seem to make a different for sturdiness for us. Only con so far is the space between the wall. The bed is a beautiful color and looks really nice after being built. My own issues are, the main food board came cracked, also some of the planks for holding the mattress were also cracked.. I am upset that products were not checked before sending out to customers. I do feel though for the price you get what you paid for. I do love the style of the bed.. we still put bed together but I am unhappy with the product damage. ... show more

I chose this bed for four reasons. I liked the shelf style border design, the rounded corners, the color of the wood and it seemed like a very sturdy bed. It certainly did not disappoint. It is very heavy, sturdy and beautiful. The only downside is that even with my wife assisting by handing me tools and hardware, it took me about 3 - 4 hours to put it together. But once it was completed, it was clear that it was well worth it. This is one of the nicest beds we have owned. It will make a great addition to the guest bedroom in our new house. ... show more

This bed is really sturdy and pretty. Took me a few hours the first night to assemble most of it and then the next day I attempted to finish the rest of the 60 screws. Love the bed. The assembly was ridiculous. The tool they provide is minimally effective at best and they do not advise use of a drill or other tools. I love this bed. It’s exactly what I wanted. It did have a little damage to one board that does show. It is not easy to assemble and the little tool that comes with it is worthless. We stripped a couple of screws trying to get the bed out together but it doesn’t seem to affect its’s sturdiness.

Even with a cordless screwdriver this bed was a 4 hour assembly. One piece arrived damaged with a crack and I worked around it as did not have tome to deal with returns. Looks good. Purchased a queen size 6 months ago and it was a breeze to assemble thought this was the king version, not even close.
