I really like this TV stand. It looks nice, it's sturdy, and I got it on sale while is great. The only critique I have is that it wasn't very easy to assemble. There are multiple parts in the same bag, some of them missing (but thank goodness they have spare parts in another bag), and some of the parts are labeled wrong. I put it together eventually it just took a bit longer because of the poor labeling job. Overall it's a nice piece of furniture though ... show more

Please pay attention to my headline! If you are interested in purchasing this product, please go the extra mile and just pay for assembly. I am one who is pretty nifty at assembling furniture; however, this one gave me some difficulty. First, screwing in the screws into the pre-drilled holes was agonizing. The wood begins to strip as you turn with a teeny Allen wrench that is provided. Talk about hurting fingers! Secondly, the instructions look like a chemical equation. If only illustrations within the booklet were drawn better, I would have not been so against continuing reading them. Third, the doors! The holes that are pre-drilled are off a few inches which made it more difficult to ensure that the doors were going to be applied correctly. Moral of the story: hire the Amazon workers to assemble if you are thinking about purchasing this item. ... show more

The door hinge holes aren’t in the same doors, so now the doors don’t close right and the handles look terrible uneven. It took 4 hours to put together, it’s not fast. Took awhile to figure it out. All in all it’s ok for a cheap entertainment center but not worth the cost for pressed wood.

    • Couple of tips for assembly

Overall a good piece of furniture for the price. I read other reviews of frustrated people building this. I have three tips to help with those frustrations. 1. The legs on front will most likely split when inserting screw. I glued and inserted two screws across the crack to fortify. I used a countersink for the screw heads to avoid splitting it the other direction 2. Put screws in half way carefully into the pre marked screw positions and remove prior to installing the hinges, it is easier to insert screws then into hinge by hand and also balance door with one person. 3. Pay close attention to which door with WHICH HINGE type (M or N) you are to put on the right or left side. When done properly the doors will look perfect after tweaking the position by turning the adjustment screws on the hinges. ... show more

I loved the look of this product, but was nervous about previous reviews that mentioned that the product was hard to put together and/or pieces were missing or didn't align. As a self-professed master Ikea builder, I decided to take the leap and get the piece. This piece is HEAVY in the box! I knew that going in, and I knew I'd have to build this alone, so I found a way to get the box into the house (thank you dropcloth!). Anyway, putting the unit together was pretty easy and only took 90 minutes . I assembled this alone. It's beautiful! My only suggestion is to use Gorilla Glue wood glue. I don't trust any glue that isn't labeled. Thanks for a great piece! Next up - Floating shelves! ... show more

This was extremely hard to assemble! The only reason I was able to make it work was by switching around the doors (with the hinges attached) they are not labeled as being different but they definitely are. However, it looks nice now but honestly, IKEA has some great options for cheaper and much easier to assemble in my opinion ... show more

    • Falsely advertised as wood; it is compressed board with a wood looking paper covering the board.

It was easy to assemble and is quite sturdy but it simply is not wood as advertised. Materials listed are wood, glass and metal!!!! They should be listed as compressed board, glass and metal. Furthermore, we had to glue some of the paper covering back onto the board as it had peeled off on one of the sides. There are also areas of damage where the board has been crushed in slightly. We will have to disguise these areas with stain if possible. I definitely would not recommend this piece of furniture to a friend. ... show more
