amazing! i was honestly conflicted to purchase because i needed something that was cheap but still looked nice and was good quality, and of course stable enough to hold up a 55” TV. luckily, i also found one that was used, but in mint condition for only $38, as opposed to $54! which was a score, everything arrived practically brand new and unopened. towards the end of the instructions, it got a bit confusing, but regardless of that building it was incredibly easy and only took about 40 mins alone even with me mixing some pieces up and having to redo some things. in all, if you’re thinking about it… do it! you’ll be very happy, it’s very sturdy and looks amazing. exactly what i was look for in size, style, and stability! ... show more

After unexpected TV purchase, didn't want to spend much more just for a stand that wouldn't match my decor. This Furinno JAYA Large Stand for up to 50-Inch TV, Columbia Walnut/Black/Dark Brown was absolutely budget friendly. Design is simple enough to blend with my old decor and new modern TV. A bonus to have extra functionality with under-shelving and two fabric storage bins. Easy to assemble despite shelving boards being mislabeled by manufacturer--boards different enough to spot mistakes as assembly steps were pictures only for directions. No tools needed. Very sturdy. Solid feel when fully assembled. Two people should move unopened box--very heavy, awkward. Risk of injury for one person to move unopened box to place for assembly. After assembly, very easy to lift stand and move. ... show more

Bought this on sale for a little under 40$. Id say its worth that. A monkey could put it together, its pretty sturdy when fully assembled. No regrets buying but I would never pay 80$! Its cheap material.

I almost bypassed this one due to the negative reviews. However, there were far more positives so I decided to go for it. This is the exact size I was searching for. When it arrived, the first thing I did was to check the parts list to make sure everything was there. Did a quick browse through the instructions, which were very good, and started the assembly process. I can't believe how easy it was to assemble! No tools!! The directions weren't really clear about where the black plastic rings went but I figured it out. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble. I am a female octogenarian and if I can assemble this, anyone can. When finished, I turned it up right and tested for stability. Was perfect. If the leg pieces are tightened properly, there's no reason for it NOT to be sturdy. The plastic legs don't look like plastic, they look like wood. The shelves were not scratched or marred in any way but there was a whitish ridge around the edges. No problem - that's why they invented permanent markers. I just ran the black marker around those edges and it worked perfectly. I put a 50" TV on top of the stand and it looks GREAT!! As for the fabric drawers - they aren't the greatest but from the front view, they look nice. They're probably something I would never use and should I decide not to, that shelf could be used for other things. Bottom line is, I got more than my money's worth with this shelf. I do not understand the negative reviews. If it is put together properly, it is very sturdy. Any imperfections on the pressed wood can easily be fixed with a black pen. I have had 3 people visit today and none could believe the price I paid for the stand. It got rave reviews from them and now, from me. ... show more

I was a bit skeptical about getting this TV stand and I was taking a chance because I was buying it "Like New" to save a bit of money.. To my surprise, the box was a bit dented,but the item itself was perfect. It had all the screws,etc and it fits into my bedroom perfectly. Its holding my 50inch TV without issues. Very pleased with this purchase and the black is beautiful. My only tiny complaint is the drawers are a bit flimsy, and if you pull to fast,it will come out because there is no track for them to be on...But again thats very minor. ... show more

This shelf/TV stand looks nice and functional and is very simple to assemble. It also shipped and was delivered quickly. The shelves are described as "engineered wood", the top shelf where the TV would sit is ½" thick and its weight capacity is given as "up to 55" flat-screen TV" but no actual weight is specified. (The assembly instructions - which come with the unit - do specify 40# max.) It would benefit other buyers to know the actual weight rating of the top shelf before buying it since all 55" TVs may not weigh the same. I used the unit to replace a piece of ½" plywood that had been under our 55" flat screen but while plywood is "engineered wood" this unit used pressed wood, and THE SHELVES SAGGED under the weight of our TV. The stand for our TV mounts at its center so all of its weight bore down on the center of the shelf. Perhaps if our TV had dual stands out toward its sides, its weight would have been better distributed over the shelf unit's vertical supports (the center of the top shelf has no direct to floor support) but nothing is said about that. The sagging shelves detract from what otherwise would have been a five-star unit. ... show more

I read ALL the reviews before I purchased a TV stand, saw a few others and compared color to what I was seeking. this was the best fit (along with the side tables it goes with) ---- The wood is VERY sturdy, it is SO EASY to assemble, took lil' ole' me about 25 minutes. The directions are easy: and everyone keeps speaking on the plastic legs: Hello-oooo, chemistry 101 it is very durable and that would be the least of my worries. If you follow directions, nothing CHIPS. If you are gentle with it, and not a rough and impatient human-- and dragging items, nothing scratches. IT fits a 50" tv with EASE, as you can see by the tv legs, it can fit a larger size tv as well. Maybe the UPS guy was gentle with my items, and always are when I order deliveries? The color is excellent and goes nicely with South Shore products (espresso/chocolate) --- and went nicely with my red couch with espresso legs and arms to go with it. If you download the Honey app, you can save more money on products and watch them go on sale. This item originally cost $64, I got it for $38! A must buy, and it also holds my dvds and old school VHS nicely. The little cubby drawers are perfect and will hold the items and works as a drawer. The kicker is it must be full and heavy to work like a gem. Good job Furinno, I will be buying more products from this manufacturer. ... show more
