This was a great value! I needed a slighter shorter loft because of the angled ceiling and this was perfect for my granddaughters. It was well made; all pieces of wood were sturdy and everything fit together perfectly. I made a couple of mistakes when I started putting the bed together, so you do need to double check directions. Took me longer than some other people (4+ hours), but it was a very warm day. I highly recommend a power drill/screwdriver (I didn't have access to one at first, and relied on the Allen wrench). The first mattress I put on it was tight; I wasn't even able to get the sheets on it. But I tried another one (luckily, I had two). The second mattress fit looser and was a bit shorter (even though specs on both were 75" X 39"). I used the larger mattress on the floor underneath, instead of leaving as play area and the kids love it! The 4 yr. old sleeps on top and 7 yr. old on bottom. One more note: I added a 1/2" layer of firm of cardboard on top of the slats to provide extra strength, a sort of quick "Bunkie board." ... show more

After reviewing this bed from other Amazon parents we did proceed with purchasing this Loft Bed. Thanks to other users I checked everything after it arrive before moving forward with assembly. As you will see from the pictures I uploaded the packaging was secure and nothing was damaged on delivery. What I did find though was some of the wooden pieces had either small cracks that hopefully won't develop into larger ones and areas where the wood was "patched" up with wood glue or filler. I also think these piece are only getting a single coat of paint as you can see through to the wood. The manufacturer would not replace any of the parts and said we had to go through Amazon who gave us some money back on our purchase price in case we have to replace certain pieces should they break. Bottom line for the price and knowing it is going in a kids room I would day its an ok purchase, of course my daughter is through the roof excited to have it in her room. This is the second bed we ordered. The first was all metal and a total nightmare. This bed is wood and is easy to assemble. The instructions are good, hardware was all there and I have no complaints. It is very sturdy with no sway or shaking - even with an energetic 7 yr old climbing the ladder. Just enough room under to snuggle with a book or play with the Barbie house. ... show more

Instructions were so simple. Easy to assemble by myself with a toddler pestering me the whole time. So sturdy. One thing that took extra effort was putting in the slats. I had to grab an impact gun because there were so many screws and I wasn't going to do it by hand. I lay up in it sometimes with my 35 pound child and I'm a 160 pound woman. So so solid. Honestly. wow. This is sturdier than Ikea and somehow all the wood used is real wood, not composite. Which means, it feels better on your hand and is lighter than the massmarket counterpart. One piece of info I was looking for is, from the FLOOR to the underside of the bed is 28", in case you were interested in putting a dresser underneath it. If that doesnt work for you, there are very cheap risers on amazon that can help boost it up those last 1-4 inches needed to clear for underbed storage. Also, Not installing the staircase does not seem to affect the sturdiness of the structure. Once install it is solid and does not creak or waver. The product itself seemed pretty good quality for the price. My disappointment comes with the finish and wrong parts. The finish states White & some reviews said it was more of an off white which would have been fine but it is definitely an Ivory finish. I work with materials like this and put my white sample next to it to show. The company should change the name of the color or invest in an actual white. Secondly I made sure I had all the pieces and when putting together I was almost done and when 2 of the rails were way to short. Instead of just replacing the parts Amazon said they would have to send a whole new one and I'd have to re-package the current one. Very inconvenient. End result I was going to deal with the finish even though it looked terrible with the rest of the bedroom but after the ordeal with the short rails I decided to just return and purchase from a different company. ... show more

Very sturdy. it came slightly dented in multiple places but it wasn’t anything too bad, nothing that wouldn’t pass as normal wear that would eventually have occurred. The bottom space is perfect for children to play under or make a fun fort. I use it as a space for my two pets to sleep under.

I assembled this on my own and it took about 2-3hrs. It could take less time with 2 people. Nice sturdy bed, I had no scratches but the finish in some places are fairly light, and the color is an off white not pure white. I'm pleased with the quality for the price, it was a steal.
