The SE CE 24 Standard Satin is the most affordable CE yet, pairing an all-mahogany body with a bolt-on maple neck. The mahogany body features a thin satin finish that results in a highly resonant instrument, and the maple neck’s semi-gloss finish provides a smooth playing feel. This particular guitar was recently recommended to me, an electric guitar novice, by a local luthier. The design is absolutely striking and it sounds even better than it looks! Works great with a Fender Frontman 10G amp. It's a beautiful, finely crafted guitar at an amazing price and is much easier to play than my Hanika acoustic. Rock on! I'm just an average guitar player. I can't shred like the people you see on YouTube, etc. More a collector than player. But this guitar is the perfect guitar to start into electric solid body guitars or hollow body electrics if that is your preference. It really is way above average for the beginner in every way, including the price. Yes, you can purchase a $100 solid body electric, but you'll spend a boat load of money on getting the guitar in playing order. This guitar...just tune it up and go. I see no reason to change out the pickups or work on the fretboard, unless you're an accomplished guitarist or plan on using it at gigs all the time. In that case, you should purchase a higher-end PRS, and spend a minimum thousand dollars, or much, much more on whatever model you prefer. This model guitar has been around for a year or more, but I would highly recommend this guitar for a beginner or an accomplished guitarist to just to kick around with it. I purchased the satin red cherry model, and it is beautiful. I have 64' Gretsch's and old Fender Strats and Martins, and a whole slew of other classics, and I'm sold on PRS. Will be purchasing their higher models now to add to the collection. Buy it...I don't think you can go wrong. ... show more

Absolutely fantastic. Not a single issue with the one I received. Came out of the box very playable with spot on intonation. I've bought and sold quite a few guitars in this price range over the past few years and this is by far my favorite. And it comes with a gig bag.

Very nice guitar however it needed a full setup done before reaching its potential, a bit disappointing on setup. Jumbo frets are nice but make the higher frets seem small and tight for fingers. This guitar sounds great through any amp. Good value for a inexpensive PRS. For pro players I would suggest go the extra $$$ and get one of the slightly more expensive PRS models. Build quality is excellent though so really can’t go wrong. ... show more

It arrived set up well. a couple caveats, the set screw too that puts tension on the trem arm could be improved with 5 cents of loc-tite. the pickups are a little bit on the hot side but its fine, we got tone and volume and coil splitting so we can tone those suckers down. fretwork was perfect. tuning stability perfect. its got a nice thin neck that feels good in the hand. It also came with the nicest gig bag ive ever seen ... show more

I liked the look and how light it is. Unfortunately the setup was not good as there was fret buzz in a many frets. It might be Prs cheapest guitar but it should be playable out of the bag.
