Overall, this is a nice piece for the money. It looks lovely. I had it professionally assembled, so I can't comment on the ease of assembly, but the two deliverers were done in 1.5 hours, although one said he'd done the same item a few days before and it took 2.5 that time, so easier with practice? He said it was "tedious" more than difficult. The biggest issue is simply that the top drawer sticks badly, and one must almost jerk on it to get it out. Received today and the box it came in had holes and dents all over the place, so I was hoping it came out good. For the most part it looks really good but it does have some slight damage in about 7 different places that you can’t see thankfully it’s not in the front or the side that people can still see from where it sits. One spot was on the top but I was able to fix it with a Mohawk Fil-Stik in white. The complete assembly of this product, which was short on a few of the locking screws, but good thing I had some left from another project, took me about two and three-quarter hours, as I broke it up with one hour at my lunchtime. Like pretty much everyone, we picked up on the top to move it 3 inches and we do not feel that it’s locked good enough on the four corners. There’s actually only dowels in those areas for the most part. Other than that it is made very well is all of the wood pieces are thick, sturdy and even fairly heavy. The unit itself is about 102 pounds and in the box it came in it was about 108 pounds ... show more

It did take quite a while to put it together. Wasn’t necessarily hard, but there are many pieces. My son put this together for me, without any hiccups. It was packed like no other furniture I’ve ever received. The packaging was phenomenal. They even had extra pieces of wood protecting the ends, so that nothing would get scratched. Hands down the best “assemble yourself” piece I’ve ever seen. And the quality is just stunning. Looks very nice. I guess the the only problem I have with it is that the doors somewhat rub, when you open and shut. Cannot be adjusted, because of the way the hardware is pre-made to fit certain areas. And not sure you could lift from the top, just because of the kind of hardware holding it together, but it is truly a beautiful piece. Very pleased. ... show more

I love the look of this table, once assembled. It is just the size we needed for our entry way, with space for a purse and for the odds and ends that we like to have in our living room and by our keys/etc. The doors open and close smoothly (a little too smoothly; they would be easy to slam if we weren't careful). The hardware looks very nice. The top of the (white) table is likely going to be easy to mark up over time; I haven't decided what I will do for a permanent solution but if you want this for a busy area of the house, be aware the top won't be pristine over time. The drawers were my main disappointment - they aren't on metal rails, and the wood/wood slide is scrape-y and sounds terrible. It is a rough motion and could be improved. Thankfully, we don't put a lot of frequently accessed items in the drawers, but this is something I wish I had noticed. ... show more

I dislike how easily it can be scratched I set a screw on the top and grabbed it off and it left a tiny little scratch in it, so now I’m worried to set anything on top, I may buy a piece of glass to protect it. There was a gash in the front leg of the side panel at the very bottom, I’ll try and put a little touch up paint on it so I won’t notice, I hate that it came with that, Also the drawers would be way better if they slid out with a better mechanism I worn out much in these drawers because they don’t open easily. The window cabinets are a great size! One of the drawers predrilled holes were off enough that my husband had to pre drill new holes in the middle because the spots it was made to drill wouldn’t work with it being very close. The instructions were great! It came with all the pieces and some extras! And shipped and arrived very fast! Also the backing board is screwed in vs nailed and it seems way better hen an ikea type flimsy particle board backing! ... show more

I assembled it myself, with just a helper to hold things in place for me. It says power tools aren't needed, but there's a few parts where it expects you to screw directly into the wood, which is obviously WAY easier with a power drill than just a screwdriver. When you assemble the individual shelves, you'll need to put a screw in a hole that's just a liiitle too small, which isn't a big deal except that there's a groove nearby, and trying to get the screw in would crack the wood into the groove. My solution was to use shorter screws than suggested. I can't remember now if screw R or S is the short one, but one of those is short and the other is longer. Since I had a few extra, I just substituted the shorter screws for this part. Otherwise, assembly was very easy! I'm not taking off a star for that since it wasn't too big of a deal and every other part was so easy. The finished sideboard also looks LOVELY and feels very sturdy. The box it was shipped in did look banged up, but nothing was damaged inside. I've gotten tons of compliments from everyone who's seen it about how nice it looks, so it gets a 5 star review over all! ... show more

Used for storing DVD's and Electronic components on top. Tales a little time to assemble. Give yourself plenty of room to lay everything out in order and have an adequate assembly area. Everything fits good and the finished item is sturdy, functional and looks good. Take your time...
