I was skeptical on how it was going to be from the reviews, but took a chance and everything showed up great. The assembly was done with both my husband and I since our two boys 5 and 3 1/2 "try" but reverse help. It did not take long at all to assemble. My 3 1/2 year old loves it. It is tall enough to have a fort underneath and short enough that I'm not too worried about the height. It is very sturdy for them! I would not suggest an adult climbing in the bed. So we bought another one for our 5 year old, since the 3 1/2 year old needed out of the convertible crib immediately. The second bed came with a defect on one of the posts. I was worried contacting stores 123 because they may be out for the holidays. They responded that day Christmas eve and even on New years eve. They kept me informed all the way through (till delivery of the new bed) and even gave me options right away. The new bed once they contacted the manufacturer was sent out right away and delivered within a week. Stores 123 exceeded my expectations for what a company would go through to replace a defective product: They responded within 24hrs, went out of their way to keep me informed even during the holiday season, and made sure I was happy with the delivery of the replacement product. I usually don't review, but wow. Really impressive build for the price. All solid wood. Wood is light and soft, but it is clear, and sufficiently overbuilt to be very sturdy. I even appreciate that it's light enough to be easy to push across my carpeted floor. Hardware is solid, over engineered - way stronger than other furniture I've bought online (I'm looking at you Ikea). No worries about this being sturdy. Paint is well done. Pleasant off-white. Absolutely no complaints. And it's a bonus that it's not made in China. ... show more

Got it assembled today. Didn't take long. Super easy. Twin. Various screws/bolts just pay attention. Slats seem flimsy. Perfect height. Beautiful finish.

I got this bed to surprise my older kids with their own big kid beds and they love their beds. There are a few things you should know before buying this bed First - this thing is so heavy make sure you have someone to help you pick this up And second - please use powered tools with this bed. I had to build this bed alone and it look me about 3-4 hours with powered tools it would have definitely 6 hours or longer using the tools included in the packaging also using powered tools you know the bed is less likely to fall apart. ... show more

We bought these bunkbeds for our two boys, 4 and 9. The quality of the materials is awesome considering the price. I gave four stars for sturdiness simply because in my own, non-professional opinion,I feel like the beds aren’t super heavy. It would be best to fix eight these bunkbeds into the corner of a room and perhaps attaching a bracket to the bed and wall for more support. Just my opinion though. I assembled this bed by myself in roughly an hour and a half. The directions were very easy to understand, even for someone who rarely assembles furniture. As I stated earlier, we’ve all these bunkbeds for our young boys who are very rough and rambunctious. I couldn’t see spending $800 or $900 on a set of bunkbeds from local retailers. They will likely outgrow them in a couple of years anyway. I am definitely very satisfied with the price of this furniture! ... show more

Assembly was fairly easy. I was nervous because several other reviews mentioned sharp edges which I don't think are / will be an issue. Bed seems pretty sturdy but time will tell. Our son loves this bed. We have had it for a few months now and have only had a few issues. The wood frame is very lightweight and doesn’t feel the most sturdy. Some parts of the front frame did not screw in and seemed to already be stripped so the screw won’t stay in. My husband used wood filler and it still won’t keep the screw in. The planks that go under his mattress are fine. Some of them had some yellow stains. The bed altogether was easy to assemble but may take a second person to help hold the frame together while the other screws it together. I would like for the frame to be a little more sturdy. But for the amount we paid, I didn’t expect it to be a heavy duty bed. We do love that it is a loft bed so we can have his toys in buckets under the bed. ... show more
