Update: I've added a star to my review after over a year of owning this table. The reality is, if I had received an undamaged version, I would join the many others who gave the table 5 star reviews. It has NOT scratched as easily as I feared (and I use it daily for work as well as for dining). It's easy to dust/clean. I have also appreciated the way it tapers so that it does not appear huge but actually provides quite a bit of dining (and work) space. I've even gotten used to the darker color, and notice they now are just offering the one version as brown rather than two colors. The table is delivered in a very large, heavy package and this presents a dilemma if there are problems with the order as there were with mine. By the time the package is opened and any damage is discovered, it may be super hard to repackage to return. I ordered the acorn colored table, but received the walnut one, and there was a small but very noticeable ding on it. Since I am not able to pack it up and return it on my own, I requested and received a partial refund and will make do with the table. Pros : it is easy to put together, appears sturdy, and you can squeeze 6 at the table depending on size of your chairs. It is a good size to use as a desk if, like me, your dining room has also become your office. It definitely fits the mid-century aesthetic (even the walnut color). Cons: it seems it will scratch easily, and any dings will be impossible to buff out. Really ideal to seat 4, 6 may feel cramped. ... show more

This table is amazing and looks very expensive. It was easy to put together and I used the tools that came with it. To avoid carrying it and possible damage. I paid for the room of choice delivery. It was my first time using it and I’d use it again. The delivery person called ahead of time and carried the box to my room of choice (dinning room). Our island ended up further over than we had hoped during our kitchen remodel and had to switch from a 48” round dining table to a rectangular dining table to fit the space. This piece fit the bill style-wise, size-wise, and budget-wise. Is it solid wood all the way through? No. But as long as you use a table runner, coasters and placemats this could be a great addition to your space for years to come! I am extremely particular. So when I saw this mcm design table I knew I had to have it. It arrived on perfect condition , no scratches. The first time I got it delivered, they sent it back stating that couldn’t find my address. That was annoying, but the table finally arriving made it worth the wait! I need place mats though because like everyone said, I’m sure it will scratch easily. It’s so beautiful I don’t even want anyone to eat one it hahaha ... show more

Well the table is beautiful! Lucky to say it came scratch and damage free! I do not suggest purchasing a used version of this table because the original table I purchased was used and it was very damaged and was a pain to deal with! I re ordered brand new and even tho shipping managed to take almost a month, I do have to say the table is beautiful HEAVY and sturdy! Definitely a warm toned acorn, which I prefer! The top of the table sticks out a lot further than the legs which makes the table seem less bulky. I like this feature but if you have chairs like mine, it is hard to fit two chairs on each side and to have them tucked inside. Which is fine for me but just FYI for those of you who have wider chairs. Had some trouble with the shipping but other than that this table is great! Worth the price. Hopefully my shipping problem was a one time thing! ... show more

3.75 stars: This is a great table for the price, however, mine did arrive with a chip in the wood and wasn’t noticed until fully taking it out of the box. At that point, it’d be such a pain to return... Overall, it’s sturdy and easy to assemble. It WAS decently packaged and didn’t arrive in a damaged box so this must have been missed in quality control in my opinion. This is why I’m knocking it a star. Be aware, it’s packaged with cheap crumble styrofoam and it’s a pain to clean up, but this doesn’t affect my rating. ... show more
