Let me start by saying that this thing is a battery GUZZLER! it comes with two batteries and I'm here to tell you that you will need both to even do a small dog. I own two shi-tzu and even though this thing melted through the hair like butter, I was only able to get 75% of my pup done with one battery. That being said I bought these as an upgrade to a pair of cheap AngFang clippers that took me almost 2 hours to cut that same pup and with the Wahls I was done in about 30 min with this set. That is the difference between a 50-dollar pair of clippers and 150. However, when you think about what one or two trips to a goomer will cost this investment will pay for itself after one use. Perhaps there are bigger Miliamp batteries for these that I haven't found so I will look However, the efficacy of the UNIT is amazing and worth the battery oversite for my size pups. My honest opinion is that if you own a Large fur breed like a lab you should look for the same standard of clipper but corded. the battery option will take you a long time since the charge time is 75 min per battery, even with one on the charger you wouldn't finish a large pup in one sitting. ... show more

It works well. It is noisy but I still like how it cuts my dogs hair. Had one before and batteries wouldn't charge after a year so got a chromado. I prefer the chromado but wouldn't pay the high price for it. I dropped it and broke the blade holder part so needed another. These grooming clippers work well and have three attachable combs. However, the battery is short lasting. Thus, it is important to have both batteries fully charged before using the clippers--as I learned during my first experience.

UPDATE: WAHL, did the right thing and sent us a new charger, a bit of an over reaction by me, so I am making it right.....when its working its awesome..... Attempted to contact Wahl to see about getting a replacement to avail. Very questionable customer service, at the end of the day, simply not worth $150......buy a cheap one and if/when it breaks just buy a new one. ... show more

First, the package was pulled opened as if the item was returned. When I used it, it wasn't as smooth as I expected. I had a hard time cutting my cats hair. I felt like the blade had been used. I am not happy about it.

I've been cutting the hair on my Shih Tzu for years and it was so time consuming and a pain for me and him. His hair is so fine that my old clippers (with plastic length attachments) would not pick up his hair correctly and I would get uneven areas and bald spots. I used the new clipper along with the metal length attachments and LOOK AT MY DOG!!!! It was so easy and he looks like he went to a groomer. We have used corded clippers in the past but I am so glad we switched to these. No more issues with getting the power cord wrapped around dog or having it not reach the area I wanted to. Makes his haircut go much faster and they are quiet. Great purchase that I would highly recommend.
