  • Great quality, fit, design and function
Style: OEX - Ceramic Size: OEX1303
Very satisfied with the quality, design, fit, and function of the Wagner OEX for 2012 Tundra. Initially purchased Power Stop brand but I was not satisfied with the hardware quality so I sent them back -if they skimp on hardware quality, what else will they comprise. The Wagner hardware quality was as good or better than Toyota. Paired the OEX with Stop Tech groove cryo rotors and very satisfied with stopping power. Definitely would purchase again for all my vehicles. ... show more

  • Cheaper than the auto parts store
Style: TQ - Ceramic Size: QC1303
Good quality brake pads and they were cheaper than our local auto parts store. I’ll always check Amazon before purchasing items elsewhere.

  • So Far, So Good
Style: TQ - Ceramic Size: QC1303
I've only put about 1000 miles on the truck since changing to these pads, but so far, so good. I'm not a mechanic, but don't mind doing some of my own maintenance. While I would say this is a very easy project for the amateur, the caveat is that you're dealing with your brakes--arguably the most important safety feature on your vehicle. There are several installation videos on YouTube, with most of them advocating simply compressing the caliper pistons by hand (via a flat-head screwdriver or two, and possibly enlisting the aid of a clamp and block of wood. There are just as many forum posts on Tundra sites decrying this method as potentially damaging the master cylinder or forcing "bad/dirty" brake fluid back into the system. I will admit that I was nervous at first because the brakes were far spongier than normal. I thought perhaps I, too, had damaged my master cylinder. But after a few days, they began to feel like normal, and now they feel better than normal. As I continued to read up on the topic, several forum posts suggested the brakes need time to "bed" so that the pad material can get to know the rotor before they're able to really make a tight connection. All that having been said, the next time I do this, I will take the opportunity to bleed my brakes while I have everything jacked up and accessible, even though the caliper compression doesn't seem to have done any harm (brake fluid is also still beautiful honey yellow after 75k miles). One thing I can't comment on is longevity. The stock brakes went 75k miles before they wore to their indicators. I'll try to remember to update this review if there is any cause for concern there. On a final note, the Wagner instructions are a bit ambiguous when it comes to which of the stock backing plates to use. Best I can tell, wagner wanted me to just put their pads directly into the caliper without either of the 2 plates that were on each shoe in the stock pads/shoes. I ended up setting the stock slotted plate aside and used the other plate. I put Permatex 85188 on both sides of the stock metal plate, even though Wagner says not to. From what I've heard about brakes (and it's not too terribly much), caliper lube = good. I also lubricated the contact points where the shoe rests inside the caliper, as well as the retaining pins. ... show more

  • Same pads the Toyota dealer uses
Style: TQ - Ceramic Size: QC1303
Works great. My contact at the local Toyota dealer said yhey use these same exact pads but mark up drastically. I do my brakes with their revommended parts for a helluva lot less.

  • Easy as it gets to install
Style: TQ - Ceramic Size: QC1303
Perfect fit for my 2008 Toyota Tundra. High quality ceramic pads, likely better than the original parts. Fit perfectly and saved me a lot of money doing it myself... $40 versus over $200 at the dealership. If you have a little mechanical skill, I would recommend attempting this yourself (assuming the rotors are still in good shape). Job only required 2 tools: lug nut wrench (remove tires) and large screwdriver (remove springs holding pad and compressing the caliper). Toyota rocks when it comes to designing brakes... easiest brake job I ever did. The seller was great, delivering in just 2 days. Would recommend to anyone wanting to save a lot of money on do-it-yourself car maintenance. ... show more

  • all scored above
Style: OEX - Ceramic Size: OEX1303
I like the no noise, the break-in was good, the anti raddle springs some were bent in the shipment were straightened and installed, used the old spring also. I have used Wagner products over the years one of the reasons I picked them.

  • Wagner ThermoQuiet - Will Not Dissapoint
Style: TQ - Ceramic Size: QC1303
Have used Wagner ThermoQuiet brake pads for years now. Wear has been excellent .. but the best part is hardly any brake dust generated on the wheels. This set went on a 2013 Toyota Sequoia. Excellent fit, and had the necessary clips and anti-rattle springs, and pad shims were already installed on all 4 pads. 2 pads have the "wear indicator" made onto them, a nice feature. This set does not include new pad "pins" .... and I always like to replace ALL brake hardware when doing a brake job. Use these pads with great confidence, and consider buying a set of pins before you start the brake job. You might could get away with cleaning if you live in a climate that doesn't use winter road salt & chemicals for snow/ ice, but living in the north, my pins needed replacement. ... show more
