Features

  • No restriction on cookwareElectric induction cookers use electromagnetic induction technology to directly heat magnetic metal cookware (such as cast iron and stainless steel pots) without the need for a flame source. This means you don't need special cookware, and your existing magnetic metal cookware can be used on the induction cooker, making it very convenient.
  • Child lock protectionElectric induction cookers are usually equipped with multiple safety protection measures, including child lock protection, which can prevent children from accidentally starting the induction cooker when you are not around, thereby improving safety.
  • Multiple cooking modesElectric induction cookers usually have multiple cooking modes, such as boiling, steaming, baking, frying, and stewing. These modes can help you meet different cooking needs, providing you with more cooking options and flexibility.
  • Easy to cleanElectric induction cookers usually have a flat design with no protrusions or depressions, making them very easy to clean. As they use electromagnetic induction technology, food does not stick to the surface, making cleaning very convenient.
  • PortableElectric induction cookers are usually lighter and more compact than traditional stoves, making them easy to carry and store. This makes them a very convenient kitchen tool, especially for indoor or outdoor cooking, or for use in small apartments or homes. In addition, the high efficiency of the 1600W induction cooker allows for fast heating and cooking of food, making it more efficient for completing cooking tasks.

  • Use smaller pans
If you keep this on high for too long it overheats and shuts off. But putting the medium heat seems to work fine. We bought for our daughters apartment in college.

  • Long story short . . . IT’S GREAT! Buy one now! No . . . BUY TWO!
Color: Grey
100/100 I’m converting my camp/evac setup to all electric so we’ve been looking at cooking options. Induction is out because of it’s limitations on usable cookware and I have never been impressed with “normal” electric hot plates and “burners”. This infrared cooker cam up and I figured I’d give it a try. I’m glad I did. We are so happy and impressed with it and it’s performance. To be of maximum help, I’ve composed some specific numbers. I tested it using a Kill-A-Watt meter and thermometer. It was tested on a household circuit producing 119.6 volts AC. The cooker NEVER used more than 1,240 watts or 10.37 amps . . . period. I’m sure the 1600W claim is based on some math because the cooker does not use X watts continuously. It bounces between as low as 3.9W and the max for each setting. I tested boiling 1 Liter of water from 77 degree F at 1000W and 1600W. At the 1000W setting, the water reached “first boil” (when the first bubbles form on the bottom of the pan) in 10 minutes and a full rolling boil in 13 minutes. At the 1600W setting, the water reached “first boil” in 6 minutes and a full rolling boil in 8 minutes. When the unit is turned off, the fan continues to run and a HOT caution light is lit. Once the fan stops, it consumes -0- power and can be unplugged. Now, the data . . . Setting Temp Power Consumed 200W – Temp about 150F – Bounces between 265W and 3.9W 400W – Temp about 175F – Bounces between 652W and 3.9W 600W – Temp about 190F – Bounces between 1230W and 3.9W 800W – Temp about 205F – Bounces between 1220W and 4.4W 1000W – Temp about 212F – Bounces between 1230W and 4.4W 1200W – Temp above 215F – Bounces between 1240W and 117W 1400W – Temp above 215F – Bounces between 1240W and 600W 1600W – Temp above 215F – Bounces between 1235W and 1230W Ultimately, is it worth the price? Yes. I can easily see this unit lasting as our cooker for many years to come. ... show more

  • Great Cooktop
Color: Grey
When we remodeled the kitchen, we intended to buy a refurbished antique stove when we ran across one. That was four years ago and we still haven't found the right one. Instead, we have a table sitting where the stove belongs that holds a very big electric skillet below a shelf with a convection oven. A microwave sits beside it. It's almost all we need. I use that big electric skillet constantly for "real" meals like several days worth of country ribs, beef stew, chili, and so forth. I occasionally use the oven for onion rings, a ham, and my husband bakes in it. The microwave? Oatmeal every morning, and just about everything else. But there is one vital food that requires a burner: Tacos. We have a cheapie electric burner that I hate, but I can fry four taco shells before it turns itself off, so I've put up with it for some time. When I spotted this ceramic electric burner, I decided to try it. It's great. I use a small corn tortilla-sized heavy fry pan with about 1/3rd inch of oil to fry tortillas. Like all electric burners, this is slower than a gas one, and less adjustable, but it's so much better than the clunky cheap one I'd been using. It maintains consistent heat long enough to make six shells (probably more, but I don't need more) and it's easy to read. Also, it's super-easy to keep clean. That's important when you're frying. Once this burner cools down, I just spray it with a degreaser and wipe it off. The old burner was impossible to degrease decently. I also tried making a glaze for a ham -- it came out much better than it does in the microwave since I could stir it while it thickened. I then bought a box of non-instant butterscotch pudding and made that. Oh, boy, I'd forgotten how good real pudding is. (I once tried it on the cheapie burner, but it wouldn't stay hot long enough to get the boil right.) I also tried poaching eggs on it -- those came out better than in the microwave since I wasn't worried about accidentally having them explode. I also tried scrambling them and they were great, but I like scrambled-by-microwave better. I am very happy with this burner! It does everything I need. ... show more

  • Good Backup Burner
Color: Grey
This is a good backup burner for cooking: I've had to use electric burners in the past when my stove went out and they worked well unless I was heating something very heavy like a huge stock pot of soup. The continual weight somehow caused the unit to stop working...This one is still kicking and working well: I was new to cooking on ceramic but I find that it performs very well but takes a little adjusting to use. The temperature settings are a little different than cooking on a gas burner. You can easily burn things with this if you are not privy to making the correct adjustments. It also takes longer to adjust if you decide to change the temperature in the middle of cooking something. Other than that, this is a good cooking platform. ... show more

  • Gives you an extra burner when you need one
Color: Grey
What a nice little surprise the WAATFEET Electric Cooktop is. I ordered it to have an extra burner for when the family gets together for holidays or just because. This will be one of the first things packed when we go tent camping in the summer. Sure, you have the grill and the grill over the fire, but sometimes you need to boil something in a pot, and those things just won't do. This is where that electric cooktop comes in. Just make sure your pot/pan has a flat bottom. The whole pan has to be in contact with the surface, otherwise, it just doesn't do anything. I don't know the science of it, but I know from experience it happens. I am so happy with this, I highly recommend just for the fact it's an extra burner you can pull out at a moment's notice. ... show more
