This shoe storage is by far the best, and I’ve tried a lot. The ones on the back of the door make it cumbersome to open and shut, plus they never fit my doors. Other large wooden shoe storage took an excessive amount of time to put together and didn’t even fit my shoes. I even tried using a bookcase, which I liked except for the few amount of shoes it stored. But then I stumbled upon this incredible product and all those problems went out the window. Pros: - holds many different shoe sizes! Both mine (W6) and my husband’s (M11) fit in this. That includes boots, high tops, heels, and hiking shoes. - the boxes are customizable in size (you can chose to add a shelf inside or not). - surprisingly easy to put together. NO TOOLS REQUIRED! - holds a bunch of shoes!! I have 35 pairs in mine. - little doors make the entire storage unit look more modern and pleasant. - sturdy enough to hold heavy boots and storage extra items on top. - easy to clean/wipe out Cons: - the little doors swing open easily, so my cats like to play with them. This organizer wasn't as difficult to put together as people made it seem. It was pretty straight forward. If the pictures were more clear and there was a close up on how to place the corner pieces it would8 help everything go much smoother but other than that it was relatively simple. It came with one extra square piece and I was short a rectangular piece but in the end I ended up having two extras because I needed more space for boots. I also had 4 extra connectors and 6 extra shelf holder doohickies. You definitely want to make sure you hear that pop or click when putting the pieces in the connectors. One thing I realized a little late was you can get that pop if you push opposite corners at the same time. Also I noticed the doors won't hang open or be wonky if you push the hinge pieces all the way into the connector. So far it seems pretty firm and steady but we will see as time goes on. Tall heels also won't fit. I have platforms and I had to lay them down. You can still put two pairs of shoes in one cubby by doing this. I am giving 4 stars due to the missing rectangular panel and the pictures on the instructions being a little unclear. Fix those issues and you have a 5 star product. Also the mallet is useless lol. ***Update**** I have had this for a year and it is still holding strong although I have noticed the doors have become crooked and won't close all the way. I also noticed that one of the corners tends to wobble and disconnects from the connectors. It's still a great product and has made keeping my shoes organized much easier and off the floor. I was looking for a shoe organizer based off of the reviews I purchased this shoe organizer. It was very easy to put together. If you look at the YouTube videos, they show you step-by-step on how to put it together. It’s very durable. I bought the smaller one, but there’s also a bigger one you can purchase. This product is not only durable but it also looks elegant in your home. This shoe organizer also stood up against a test of my 75 pound German shepherd running full speed into it. I’ve had it for a month now and it’s a very good product. If you’re looking for a shoe organizer, look no further this is a really good purchase. I just had to do an update on this product after almost a year of having this product. it looks just as good as the first day. I got it very good product. ... show more

This does get the job done and is cheaper but it is also flimsy. I would recommend to spend the extra cash to get something sturdier. You can use the top slots for hats as well. It is functional.

I’m using this unit for yarn - lightweight yarn- and they can’t handle the weight. The stacked units collapse on the unit below them. I have them stacked 3 high and they just can’t handle the weight. My yarn is lighter than shoes so good luck trying to put more than one pair per shelf even though it’s pictured with multiple pairs. Also, The “doors” don’t close. I would have returned mine, but my Christmas Yarn shipment was late so I didn’t get a chance to use them until today. If all you wear is flip flops you might be able to use these, but shoes (and yarn) NO WAY! ... show more

I needed a way to store our shoes because we have limited closet space. This shoe storage unit proved to be a good solution. It was relatively easy to assemble BUT the directions are a little lacking. I read other people's reviews and looked at a couple videos posted and was able to put it together fairly easily. It is lightweight,but sturdy. Ignore the small mallet that comes with the setup, it is useless,and make sure to watch any videos,they are helpful. ... show more

    • it’s what you’d expect but PAY ATTENTION TO THIS
it’s heavy disassembled but when assembled it’s an okay weight not too heavy or light but MAKE SURE you know where you want this to go before putting anything in it. I made that mistake I put it against the wall then after putting all my hair and body care products inside (which added A LOT more weight to TAKE NOTE that the heavier stuff should go to the bottom and the lighter stuff to the top it creates a sturdier base). But I put this drawer against my wall then decided after the fact that I wanted to Scooch it over an inch and it was soooo frustrating. The first row where the heavier stuff was at the bottom kept did assemble and I’d have to sometimes take ALL the products out re assembly the whole row then put the products back in and I still never got the drawer to scooch that inch but at this point I don’t care because I’m NOT re assembly the time part of the drawer that disconnect it can get sooo frustrating. ... show more
