Summary: This is a well built multi-color LED light that fits in the palm of your hand and offers a bunch of different options - bi-color operation for regular photo/video, full color color spectrum for added flair and fun flashing modes for … well … fun! The light comes with a smartphone app which works very well and gives you full control over the light. The QR code in the manual took me to some registration page for a bunch of content which I don’t want to pay for so I just went to the Apple AppStore and downloaded the Zeniko app. Pairing was super-simple. With flexible mounting options it’s useful for small product shots, vlogging / video calls etc. At minimum power it is dim enough to use in a theater to check your program. At full power it is bright enough to use for a video call or an on-camera light for tight shots. It’s great as a general purpose flashlight indoors, say during a power cut, but probably not strong enough to go hiking in the forest in the dead of night. It comes with a USB-C charging cable but no charger and a user manual that is printed for younger eyes than mine. Battery life is quoted as 1.5 hours at full power and I managed to replicate this at 3700K. However at 6200K I got closer to 3 hours out of it - truly impressive. At $40 it is good value for money. Details: The light comes with a silicone cover that softens the light slightly and probably adds some drop protection. I was surprised to find that it only loses 1/3 stop in brightness when you put the cover on. There is a very minor color shift that will only be of concern to product photographers. It has a 1/4”-20 threaded socket, which will attach to almost anything in the photography world, and a cold shoe attachment for on-camera use. I like that the cold-shoe attachment has 2 knurled nuts so you ensure a firm hold to the camera and also prevent it from rotating on the thread. It is also magnetic - strong enough to hold it overhead but barely strong enough to hold it on a vertical surface (e.g. a fridge door). The silicone cover helps. Finally it has a little kick stand which could double as a hook for overhead use (e.g. in a tent). I would pair this with a mini-tripod, a mini ball-head and a clamp for a go anywhere local light source. It’s also small enough to put inside many products if you need a little inner glow! I tested the color temperature accuracy, in bi-color mode, and found that it is close but not perfect. The little LCD display gives you a color temperature value which is 400K off (at least on my unit). However it is consistent across the brightness range and repeatable, both of which are far more important than the precise number. Before using it for product photography I would recommend calibrating it for yourself. The silicone cover causes a 100K shift in color temperature (warmer) but did not add any measurably magenta or green cast. I ran an endurance test : Full charge and then left on full power at 3700K. The light went of at 1 hour 29 mins 25 seconds - not bad considering they quote 1.5 hours. Suspecting this to be the worst case scenario I tried again … Full charge overnight and then left it on full power at 6200K. This time the light ran for close to 3 hours - probably because it was only using 1/2 the LEDs. The light charged in a little under 2 hours using a Qualcomm 2.0 (red) USB Charging port. it offers a bunch of fun flashing modes - the inevitable SOS, lightning, police, ambulance, TV, fireplace etc. I’m not sure where I will use them but it will be fun experimenting. Conclusions: Pros. Flexibility, color consistency, convenience, build quality, packaging and overall size. Cons. The app referenced in the manual was annoying, the manual is printed too small, and it should really come with a charger (IMHO). Overall. Good value for money and a handy tool to have around,

Compact yet full of features. I love that it comes with a diffuser and an adapter to mount it to the camera. The magnet and kickstand add even more versatility to it. And even better, I found it useful to work on my motorcycle. I stuck it to my car and it worked great for a quick job. The buttons are simple enough to use and I found it very intuitive. Cool effects and the option to set it to any color. Definitely recommend!

I’m a portrait and wedding videographer, and got this product to try out before an upcoming wedding to see if it could be something I integrate into my workflow. I liked several features that it had, so that’s what made me consider it enough to make the purchase. The features of this product that stood out to me were: size, RGB color, and app control, so that’s what I concentrated my evaluation on. Size: for how bright this light gets, functionality it has, and how long the battery lasts, this tiny thing packs a punch. I had it on solidly at 100% brightness and it lasted more than 3-4 hours, which is longer than I’d need to use at an event. It is also much lighter in weight than my other on-camera LED light panels+batteries, which helps lighten the load I carry all night. RGB color: I liked that it also has an RGB function, so that I could use it in studio portrait work to add any color pop of background color I want, controlled by the unit or in the app. Really like this flexibility to be able to change the color to use in this way. App: the app paired to the light without issue, is intuitive, and works pretty well to control the light. There are even “effects” that make the unit mimic various light behaviors to make it look like light from a candle, or lightning, a police car, etc. I also like that it came with extra attachments such as the tripod -> cold shoe adapter, usb-a -> usb-c charging cable, and a silicon diffuser, which are all useful to have. The magnetic back and tilt stand aren’t super useful for what I would use this for, but I like that those bonuses are there. Opportunities: I do wish the diffuser was larger than the light, so it could do more to diffuse the light output in a more flattering way. Fingers crossed that they develop other light modifiers for this, such as barn doors or grids, to make this light even more versatile. Overall score 4.5 / 5!
